The My Pet System is a customizable, interactive way to add realistic-yet-simple pet keeping to your Second Life home!

Choose a cage, then fill it with up to 4 budgies of your choice! Customize your cage with a mirror, toy and cuttlebone!

The My Pet System is an INTERACTIVE game! Budgies MUST be tended to at LEAST once a week, or they will become sick!

Over time, food and water bowls will empty, and the cage newspaper will become dirty. To tend to your budgies, simply click on the cage to refill the food and water, and change the newspaper. Tending to your budgies is FREE, and anyone can help!

FAQ

Q - Do I need to purchase food for my budgies?
A - No. Food is included with the cage. To feed and water your budgies, simply click their cage and select "Tend" from the menu.

Q - How often do I need to tend my budgies?
A - When placed into a cage, you must tend your budgies at least once a week or they will become sick.

Q - Can my friends tend my budgies?
A - Yes! Anyone can tend your budgies just by clicking your cage and clicking the "Tend" button on the menu.

Q - Once I have placed my budgie in a cage, can I take it out?
A - No. Once a budgie has been placed into a cage, that will be its forever home.

Q - Oh no! My budgies are green! What happened?
A - Your budgies are sick. Simply get Budgie Vitamins and follow the instructions to heal your budgies.

Q - Will my budgies become sick in inventory?
A - No. Budgies in inventory will pause and will not require care unless rezzed in-world.

Q - Do budgies in carriers need care?
A - No. Budgies only require care once placed into a cage.

Q - I tended my budgies through the menu and they are still sick. What happened?
A - If you are sure you tended your budgies at least once during the week, it was most likely lag. To prevent this, take a moment after clicking "Tend" to verify that food and water bowls are full, and there is clean newspaper in the cage.

Q - Can sounds be turned off on a budgie cage?
A - Yes. Owners of budgie cages may turn sounds on/off via the drop down menu.

Q - Can I replace my budgies?
A - Yes. Once you have 4 budgies in a cage, you may replace them with different versions individually.

Q - Can a toys and accessories be taken out of the cage once they are put in?
A - Toys and cage accessories cannot be deleted. They can be replaced with other accessories but once they are replaced, you cannot get them back.

Q - Can I trade my [ free bird ] items in the group?
A - Yes! The [ free bird ] group is a fun, helpful place to trade your extra [ free bird ] items. No sales, please.

Q - Can I breed my budgies?
A - No. [ free bird ] My Pet Budgies are not a breedable pet.
