I love these - the animated texture works brilliantly and I love them. Thanks xx
Very pretty! :D
This is a very complete product! What the product description didn't describe but came as a nice surprise is that the Script is full perm, normally the leaves are animated with 8 frames per second, which is too low for my liking, but you can change it to 16 for example, which makes the leaves wave smoother. Also a big plus is the seasonal versions and the fact that it is mod and copy. I was hoping for this as I want to change the Alpha Blending mode on them so they don't glitch as all Alpha Textures tend to do in Second Life.
A few issues but worth it
First off, this is a fantastic idea. It brings a great deal of realism that was lacking from our static world. pairing this with some windy grass will boost the realism of any plot instantly. The two issues that I've noticed are 1) the UVW map on the twin tree wasn't quite done well, so the texture doesn't apply evenly to the trunk and the texture stretches at the stem of the tree where it's most noticable. A bit annoying, but since they're c/m it's easy enough to boost the texture tiling on that axis and make the base of the tree look better. 2) This one is an SL limitation so I don't hold it against the creator, but the leaves are a little fuzzy due to the 1024 limit on textures. I don't think it detracts too much, but I do hope that an update will come out if SL ever ups the texture limit. Overall though, a fantastic product and quite worth the price. I sincerely hope to see more species of tree done in this fashion in the future.
