At Ex Machina we are extremely proud and happy to present the first series of modular buildings... The Soho system. A commercial district modular system easy to assemble, perfect for shopping centers.
Named after the famous London West End area, Soho is meant to be a system to build your own city easily and without complications. It uses a modular system of buildings that are easily combined in multiple combinations.
IMPORTANT! This product is the first of a series of collections of different buildings which will be completely compatible in the Soho system. Also each of the collections will be constantly upgraded with new additions and variations. The upgrades will be free and automatic.
In the future a bundle will be available and it will include all the collections with a considerable save of money for the customers. In case a customer already purchased one of the separate collections and also purchased the bundle, will be refunded for the amount of the single collections value.
It includes a road base, 2 different buildings (free updates will add more in the next weeks), easy to align system with instructions and a big intersection composition ready as example or starting base.
All the buildings are optimized with excellent LOD (level of detail) even at default medium mesh settings. Land Impact is very low making the system easy to use even on parcels where prim availability might be scarce.
Render weight (display weight) was optimized to keep the area low lag for visitors.
Building 1A is 23 Land Impact
Footprint 10 x 12 (excluded the sidewalk)
Building 1 Corner is 33 Land Impact
Footprint 12 x 12 (excluded the sidewalk)
Included are normal and specular maps to give the best visual results under various Windlight settings.
Look forward for new additions, upgrades and new collections that will complete the Soho System in the next weeks and months.

Very Nice
These are really nice in detail and fit perfectly together. Probably the only thing I have to say is the short brick style A corner store is missing sidewalk and these are a little high in prim usage if you plan to use these as filler buildings. You also can't go upstairs unless you use a teleporter or something.
we want more from this creator
These buildings are so cleverly made and look good at any graphics settings. Ridiculously low land impact for this amount of details. With advanced lighting enabled they look spectacular. Couldn't be easier to build a city quarter in minutes. And for what you get, the price is just unbeatable (it's a lot of stuff!)
Perfect
I have this for the shopping area on my Steampunk/Victorian themed Sim and it's simply ideal. The stores are fairly small but don't feel cramped as you get various versions of them. I use the low plaster facade ones with a TP system in them so you can get to the upper floor. All in all I would say that if you're looking for stores for your Sim and want a bit of class buy these. You won't regret it.
Easy to use
Easy to use and great looking you will have a Victorian street in no time.
awesome buildings!!
I bought them today and started to make a large square with strets surrounding it....I loved them right away. really awesome buildings for a very good price! Thank you for creating these for us!
Fantastic
These are wonderful, what a great way to quickly build a shopping area or even a proper city.
Well made, low land impact and just very pretty.
Especially suitable for historical sims.
I do wish there could be access to the floors above the shop, perhaps via stairs around the back like with the cornershop from the same builder or via a seperate front door and stairs.
It would make these even more perfect for city building because you could rent out the rooms above the shop :)
Maybe that could be a nice addition or a next version?
I'd buy it for sure.
