This sloop based on known Lindens boat with sails that uses the motorboat engine to control it. This item is improvement of it and serves the same functionality. For water area wandering, while chatting with friends, no imaginable "realistic" sailing, no sailing learning, no dependent on illusionary wind but sail it raises and fall, water start splashing around, and sound of sea and wind can be heard.. overall cost is 15 prims from yours land.

Caveats:
- It made for public use, means everyone can sit and drive it. It is copy only, so you can have unlimited copies but can't modify or transfer it;
- Every time someone stole your yacht from a place it was parking, when he stand from it, yacht will send direct teleport in message where it was left and name of user. Remember it is free for public usage;
- If you move yacht not siting on it, it also raises sails and switches effect, sit back to clean it, in any other way, just full stop moving and stand. sails will be off;
- Instruction appears in local chat when you sit the captain place.

I bought this last year when it was in white, now bought this, prefer the more details and colour added, I like the fact that it runs on its own and dosent sail, there is a sailable version coasting only 99L by this creator just see her other products here without even having to go to her inworld store, why she hasnt mentioned it I dont know. Maybe having the option of removing the sail so its more of a motor boat and even having sails that move when the boat turns even if they dont use the wind,would be nice.
This is one pretty sailboat. It's low prims. And it's very easy and fun. Just not as realistic as I'd like.
I bought this boat for members of my group to use, once I discovered in horror that the otherwise excellent sailboat I set up on my estate for friends to use doesn't have a "public" function. And I have it alongside the pier so my friends can use it when I'm not here to give them rides on my racing sloop.
I was delighted at the look of the Linden's Nekka - it's one pretty, pretty build. It actually gleams in the sunlight, and it will look real nice with you at the wheel sailing it. YOU'LL look nice sailing it.
But it's not a realistic handling sailboat at all.
That will be a very good thing for people who aren't used to sailing in RL or who don't have much experience doing it in SL in boats that have good sailing scripts in them. You just point this baby in the direction you want and never worry about the wind being with you or against you. You'll take off like a shot in the direction you want to go - just like flying your avatar.
Worse, the thing people will like about it in open seas - its willingness to go where you want it to regardless of the actual winds in the area - make it handle like a bucking bronco when you try to get it into a tight space.
It's much harder to bring this boat alongside and tie her up than it is to play with her on the open seas.
But if you're just going to take it back into Inventory when you're done playing anyway - that's not even an issue. Buy it and have fun, if you're new here.
