Fun to Fly

I was reluctant at first because of the price, but then thought why not take a chance, it's only 400 Lindens lost. I've lost more than that on a bad buy, so, ok, I bought it. This may be the best 400 Lindens I'll ever spend, this thing is fun! It's simple to learn and operate, and then just take to the skies and have some fun. It takes off and lands fine in the water, which was my primary concern. Go ahead, take that chance... buy it!

Thank you Sky for making this. I have several planes and boats, cars, motorcycles, a few submarines, and a couple of helicopters. Some are simple sit and spin, others require reading a manual to learn to handle. This beauty is a delight. It has the feel of flying with easy, intuitive controls. The pontoons and wheels are interchangeable even in flight so I can lift off from land, land in the water, and keep going. 400L is a steal for this. If you are looking for a first plane, this is a great choice.

2019 Nice but needs catching up

I don't recall any ulta-lights with floats as yet and this was a curious buy. I have the mini-sub by the builder which has never disappointed and I have modded many times. There are four things needing updating here.

1. Propeller graphics
2. Engine sound
3. Falling threw the plane when standing
4. Canopy texturing

All in all it's a nice float ultra-light. People with experience can get around the minor things but I think as the era is coming to a close it could use an update into the new one. The price is very decent and it is mod.

Decent for price

Pretty good model, barebones HUD. It turns, doesn't really bank. Power is applied in 10% increments, 20% power can fly normally or slowly sink, depending on if you briefly dropped power to 10% first. 10% or less power makes it almost fall out of the sky, only hold stay at it if you want to put wheels down right now. Above 40% power may be going kind of fast for an ultralight. Best landing setup is likely 20% power for approach, maybe a bob to 10% briefly to start the sink then back to 20%, drop to 10% to plant the wheels.

BUY IT. I can't say enough sweet little plane. Simply stated it's a joy to fly. Sky Maruti (creator) just contacted me and gave me the new Prim runway version of the WREN. Now she taxi's flat and smooth as silk. I found landing her to be a breeze. My new WREN is the very best small plane in my collection. LOVE IT. Thank you Sky. (romanmarcus - SL test pilot)
