New and greatly improved version!
The 4Kittens Hosting/AutoGreeter HUD is a small, simple design and fulfills the following functions:
PLEASE NOTE: Any script that speaks uses green text, and this is no exception. Emotes all appear to come from your Display Name, but will be in green. That is an SL limitation.
NOTE: Nonstandard characters in your display name are not supported.
- AUTO-GREETER
Define your own single or multi-line greetings, setting wildcards to enter people's names if you wish, and the HUD will automatically greet them when they come into a used-definied range (up to 96m) with a random greeting. Greetings can be shouted or said as normal chat, and may be configured to play a sound originating from the wearer if desired.
No clicking necessary! Keep your focus on your patrons!
- RE-GREETING!
If desired, you can define special greetings for people who left and came back. The HUD will keep track of the people it's greeted before and, if it finds one left and returned, then it will choose from these special emotes to welcome the person back.
Great for a more personal touch!
- EMOTER.
Define single or multi-line emotes for any purpose, or define multiple emotes for any purpose if you don't want to say the same thing every time. The HUD will randomly choose between all available emotes of a given type when it sends out the message! Emotes can be shouted or said as normal chat, and may be configured to play a sound originating from the wearer if desired.
- EASY CONFIG FOR DIFFERENT DJs and EVENTS
You don't need to change your greetings and emotes for different DJs and events; using a wildcard, you can set DJ and Event names on the fly and have the HUD automatically plug them into your emotes!
- EASY CONFIG FOR DIFFERENT SIMS - OR EVEN PARCELS!
Sets of greetings/emotes can be defined for specific sims as well! Any time you change sims, a new set of predefinied greetings/emotes are loaded. In this new version, you can even define sets of emotes by parcel, in case you work at two venues on the same sim.
- REMOVE 'SHOUT' FROM SHOUTS
Even want to get the 100m range of a shout but don't want to be seen as shouting all the time? The 4Kittens Hosting/AutoGreeter HUD will allow you to do just that if you desire.
Then your shouts can look like this: "[18:34:35] Alchemy Epstein : Shout!" <-- Still 100m range!

Well I had to add at least 1 star or I could not write this
Let's see now. The instructions are misleading. You need 2 spaces between the ::: and the beginning of the text. Not one. The Range Detection does not work. I've set range to as far as 50 M ( ½ the max ) and it still will not read an avi till they are within chat range (20 M) and the free memory starts at 30% NOT 100% and it counts backwards so as soon as people get read the free % goes down but from 30% not 100%. Where's the other 70%? The creator has never replied to me and that was over 2 weeks or so ago. Now that being said. After you get past the bad instructions, malfunctioning range, and short memory. It does work nice and the REGREET is a cool feature. If I knew then what I know now. I would not have spent 495 for this. It should be way cheaper. Say 100. MAYBE 125. Go to other things. Not worth the effort. I'm just not wasting the L% I spent omn it and I figured it out so...
Great Product & Great Customer Service!
This lightweight, easy to configure Hosting HUD is a gem! Works perfectly for all of my needs. Set up was extremely easy which is always a plus!
