Fully scripted and functional!
This product uses Materials for realistic bump and shine, use Advanced Lighting Model for best viewing experience!
How to use
Right Click it, choose sit, now you are the operator.
For more immersion, you can open the door in the rear, walk up to the rear (might need to jump), to get on the platform, then right click sit
Others can stand in the platform while it is moving in either direction
Controls: W S A D or arrow keys to steer and move forwards and backwards, E and C or PGUP PGDN to raise or lower the platform
While in motion the platform will not raise to its full stretch, to raise further you have to stop moving, while raised beyond that point, the platform cannot be moved, it has to be lowered back below that point to make it mobile again.
Owner can click base of the platform to get the options menu
Here you can change who can operate the platform: Owner, Group, Everyone
When set to group, only the object's active group can operate it (Check the Build menu's general tab to see what group its set to)
In the options menu, there is also Recolor, you can either enter an LSL standard vector color, or a hexcolor code, examples provided in dialog
- Materials Enabled
- Easily recolored
- Authentic Sounds
- Smoother low lag operation
- Avatars can stand in it while moving
He never fixed the issue I reported in June 2021
Be aware that it is for good reason that this product has a version number of 0.9. Yet the designer is still cheeky enough to advertise it for sale at 250 lindens and not bother about customers, who report bugs.
I IM'ed the designer reporting a bug about the struts going through the floor of the platform lift under certain circumstances even providing photo documentation.
His response was something along the lines that he never managed to get it to break and his roleplay group does pretty crazty stuff.
Now, six months later, the platform lift still has the same issue.
A fine product - just a shame the designer doesn't care to fix issues that are reported to him.
Very cool tool to have.
Comes in handy at my concert venue.
Need the lift to reach the lighting grids and light fixtures. Sometimes a ladder just doesn't reach far enough.
One draw back (IMHO) is the inability to personalize (or mod) the lift with a company name.
Does as advertised.
