AX AVs Retired Fat Pack - Kangaroo

I used this avatar for close to a decade, and while I've moved on to my own custom modded roo I still wear my AX roo quite often. The head is great, the eyes really expressive, and the AO has a lot of options. My only nitpick would be the hopping animation is a bit sluggish but it runs smooth when you're hopping.

As far as clothing goes while you are going to have a bit of a task finding outfits I still manage to wear quite a bit of regular and mesh clothing over the years, so it's not like you're going to be hopping around nude. The pouch is easy enough to edit if you want that up and down slit look, too.

I honestly still love this avatar very much. Without it I wouldn't have been able to be my fursona in SL, and I will always be so grateful to Tinintri for creating it. Even if you find a more modern roo avatar I believe this one is still worth getting. It really is a great piece of art.

great avatar! even though the HUD and AO was registered as no-mod I was still able to tear out the script and animations so I can keep the AO.. AO has realistic kangaroo movement! you lean forwards tail out for balance and you hop using your legs as forward momentum..like a real kangaroo!

While it's kind of sculpt-heavy and could probably use an update to mesh, now that "AV complexity" is a thing everyone's paying attention to... Honestly, the only significant downside to this AV is the excessive script count on the HUD, which often causes me to end up in the yellow or red zones in sims with script counters. An awful lot of the HUD buttons contain at least two scripts, and judging by the names, all one of them does is make a clicky sound -- but since all of the scripts, and the HUD itself, are no-mod, there's no way to consolidate them or remove unnecessary scripts or buttons. (Seriously, how often do you _really_ change your AV's eye color once you have your appearance set up?)

Unfortunately, the creator left SL ages ago, so it's unlikely that it'll ever be updated... which is a shame, because there really just aren't any other good options for 'roo lovers out there, especially if you're looking for something that's not either full-on "Toony" (like the Luskwood AVs) or realistic "wild animal".

There are not a LOT of competitors up against this avatar which is quite a shame, because kangaroos are hella cool animals. In any case, the design still has not been bested yet in my opinion.

The head is very distinctly kangaroo to me, as well as the ears' independent swiveling motions. (They remind me very much of what kangaroos do irl) Also the legs look like a very well thought out blend between anthro and feral, especially in the thickness of their thighs. If I were to nitpick, I'd say that I wish the leather padding on their toes extended all the way over their soles like with real life roos but I doubt many people will notice, and you can always use custom textures if you know how.

However, it is a bit unfortunate that it's difficult to find apparel that fits this avi. Furthermore, the shape of the legs makes it so that you deal with clipping issues in most furniture poses as well as some other issues which might cause frustration, but it's a really lovely looking design overall.

I love all the options the hud provides, like controlling tail stance, ear stance, eye colour, etc. The interface is very intuitive in my opinion and it did not take me very long at all before I knew how everything worked.

In conclusion, this is a terrific avi and the only downside is that there isn't a lot of stuff that just fits right on them. If you want to be a kangaroo on SL, you should buy this.

It'll take me a while to find a proper pair of pants for it, but the rest of it is SO PRETTY, I have to give it full marks ^^

Simply put I've looked and looked. There is no other kangaroo mod out there that even comes close to this " Retired " pack. I mean there aren't even that many to begin with which I find strange, but honestly, this mod still holds up to all but the most detailed of mesh bodies.
