NOTE: The birds in this crate are Mesh so you must have a mesh enabled viewer to use them.
These hybrid Falcons are a cross between a Gyrfalcon (largest of the Falcons and "the Falcon of Kings") and a Saker Falcon (resilient and one of the most beloved of hunting companions). Send them off to hunt for mice or take advantage of a sudden rain shower and let them take a bath! They'll spy a stray grasshopper flying by and off they go after it, sometimes successfully bagging a snack! Send them off to wander for a minute by the Menu, make them go to sleep, rename them, etc.
Included in the crate are the resizable shoulder and hand-held Saker Gyrfalcon, a version of each with no chat (for people who rp) and a Basic version (attached to the shoulder) with lower script impact.

You can now send your Falcon to a perch. The included perch is 1 prim. You can remotely send your Falcon to anyplace on the sim you've rezzed a perch with the HUD. More perch styles are available in the shop.

If you rez the Basic version to the ground, you can have it follow you or send it to a perch. You can remotely control it with the HUD. Use the "Comeback" call and your bird will fly to a spot at your feet. (If you have a Black Saker Falcon they will sit side by side).

Two HUDs included (use one or both), one for the individual bird, and a second you can set up to control multiple CKit Birds with just the birds you own showing.

Note: It's best to stay away from sim borders and below 4096.

The animations for the Hand version are set at priority 4. If you are wearing an AO that uses priority 4 and the same upper body areas you may see a conflict with the animations. Included with this version are lists of Animations from various creators that will not conflict with holding a bird. I'm always looking for more to add to the list, so if you have any suggestions, let me know! =)

I am pretty conservative in rating anything above average, 3 being average. I am quite impressed with the detail and animation of the falcon and especially glad is doe not needlessly talk in local chat. I rarely give a 5 star rating and despite the glove being rather ugly and the ungloved hand being useless because of the reliance on an alpha layer to hide the gloved hand I still think this deserves 5 stars.

SL-PTF - recommendation: .... advisable item (4 stars)

Hello :)

Very nice idea, but not soooo good in details ...

However, the animation and behavior of the animal is the best in SL for birds of prey, that I saw so far.
Therefore, I can say that the manufacturer is on the best way to the perfect bird and the price of 650L$ is more than adequate. If the last small improvements are still made, and the script count can still be somewhat reduced, there would be nothing to complain.

But all avatar animations spread the fingers of the right hand, which is extremely ugly, and, interestingly, not the case for the owl. The animal and glove menus are quite confusing and the scripts are vulnerable to script errors.

Closing of the glove menu by ignore, put my first copy immediately complete out of order.
And the falcon generated after a re-attaching the script error "could not find script SeakerGBHavior" and remained invisible. Only executing of the bird menu command 'Reset Hold' and a new re-attaching repaired the bird. The glove had to be replaced by a fresh copy, its menu was no longer accessible.
Both errors could not be fixed by a simple re-attaching, which means the script system does not reset automatically in a functional output state by rezzing. This should be seen at least as worthy of improvement. Script time and count of the glove is exemplary; in the bird, however, still much too high (30/33 scripts and 0.04 ms are the script time and count of my Fin's AO-II, with all the swim-, dance-, flight-, hug-, kiss- and other assistants plus normal AO functions) . So I think, it's a little bit to much for a shoulder pet. ;-)

ahhh and a perch with the functions of the hand-shoe would be great for the garden. :-)

Sincerely
Findbhair McConaught

These are absolutely fabulous, they are beautiful, they have very natural movements. I love taking them both out while riding my AKK Friesian, just touch the glove and it switches holding the horse's reins to the right hand. They sit and preen themselves, and look around, and fly off and circle a bit then return. These are just fabulous!!!! I couldn't be more happy.

mt complaint is minimal and certainly should not affect your purchase for this item..it is everything you think it would be so please support this merchant and im sure we look forward to future items...I absolutely love the interaction of these Falcons, there are many animations that are just plain good fun.........2 things i feel would improve this purchase.....first....post how many free prims you ,maximum, that you need on parcel to enjoy the many features of the bird...ie. how many prims the puddles are so they can bthe etc....I hate playing the guessing games of deleting items to make room as my prims "on parcel" stay kind of tight... secondly , I wish the falcon had a "hood" choice for the sleep mode...just for aesthetic appeal.
