I am an SL artist and I had an idea for a painting, all I needed was a crucifixion pose to make it happen, This was perfect.
One of the best poses I've found... and it's FREE!
I don't consider this to be a "static" pose per se, because the maker wisely appended the slow motion Ease In & Ease Out function for a very fluid sequence - raising arms into position and bowing head at start, lowering arms when you exit.
IMHO, this simple extra step makes a huge difference and opens up many possibilities as it eliminates that horrid "jerky jolt" so many poses have as an avatar goes from default to pose and back again. Perfect for use independent of props, or with other props besides a cross. (Think posing against a shoulder-height wall, tree branch or bedroom doorway, even runway modeling!)
The way the head gracefully bows downwards while the arms raise can be interpreted as submissive, seductive, shyness or just as a contemplative downwards glance. TOO COOL! With flexi-hair, this pose can really emote!!
