MORE ABOUT FAUN LEGS

There is simply no "anatomically correct" way of representing a human with goat legs. Every artist has their own interpretation of how the goat leg should "blend" into human one. Look at these pictures and compare:

The curve and angle of the backwards bent knee (like the goats knees) is just a matter of taste. Personally I like the curve like in the 3d picture the most, so that's the look i went for. The legs i made definitely don't have a 90 degree angle, like here >> http://www.fallingpixel.com/products/1247/mains/minotaur-2.jpg

Amazing.

Firstly, I don't know if any of the 1 star reviewers have actually seen real goat legs, or fauns, hell - even satyrs for that matter. This is anatomically correct and the most closely (if not perfectly) proportioned goat legs I've seen on SL, thus far. It's an added bonus that they are offered in rigged mesh. While I'm not a fan of 1L demos, I'm not going to complain considering how impressed I was and surely, the creator has valid reasons.

These are amazing, and I'm sad they aren't available for men (the first time I've seen a female satyr or faun has been on SL for some weird reason). HOWEVER! They fit my avatar perfectly without much tweaking (I'm a medium-sized male). Shortly after this review, I'm going to buy the full version and leave my two cents there. I just needed to clarify to potential buyers that some reviewers here do not understand goat legs, fauns, or are so used to the disproportionate, sub par legs offered elsewhere.

Good Demo Faun Legs

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to adjust them to fit my legs when I put them on, but the included notecard eased my fears by letting me know that the legs were linked together strictly for the purpose of the demo. The demos look wonderful; I can't wait to get the "live" ones! Loving the fur texture. ^ ^ Looks so soft!

Faun legs for dwarves

I don't get why almost all faun leg creators insist on making their legs as short and thin as possible. Wearing these, which are like half the thickness of your thigh and also shorter than your thigh, is a great way to make yourself look like a dwarf. Go and look at the human or mythical creature anatomy. When the lower leg is shorter than the thigh, what does it remind you of? Yes, a giant with tiny stubby legs. The only faun legs I've seen that has reasonably-lengthed legs is the one from Violent Seductions, which I have, but are unfortunately not rigged mesh.
And I highly dislike 1L demos. Do you pay to try on clothes at a boutique? Some creators probably make more money selling demos than the actual product.

That Anatomy..

I really wanted to like these hooves, as it is damned near *impossible* to find good mesh hooves for satyrs. Sadly, the anatomy of these hooves make it too jarring to like them. It looks like the knee was broken back at a near 90 degree angle before curving to the ankle joint. It makes the walking animations look nearly disjointed and you feel as if you would be tripping and falling a lot.

If any bit of advice or suggestion is welcomed, I would say that a slope is needed between the knee and ankle joints where the actual calf is.
