Due to limitations on the active number of animations allowed in SL, the Hand Poser HUD may not work in conjunction with other posing HUDs on the market.

New to version 3.2 - Compatibility with Anypose (v1.8 or later) for full body poses! Link at bottom of description.

New to version 3.0 - Mirror feature to copy your left to right hand or reverse. Also added BVH export support (PRO version only)

New to version 2.5 - Thumb second joint twist added (for better Maitreya support), Minimise UI improvements, Preset Transfer Support

New to version 2.0 - More poses, More presets, UI Improvements, Puppeteer feature, custom AO feature! To receive the free update visit the mainstore location delivery terminal.

An unfortunate reality of hands in Second Life is that for too long they have been limited to just a couple of built in poses which can cause issues for great photography or interacting with objects in a realistic manner.

With this in mind I created this Hand Poser HUD to provide a simple and intuitive interface for posing your Bento enabled hands in a position that works best for your needs.

This HUD requires Bento enabled hands to work.

Step 1. Wear the FATE Hand Poser HUD

Step 2. Simply click and drag sliders on the HUD to pose them

FEATURES

1. Save Your Pose
To save your current finger poses simply click the 'save' button on any of the presets. Click the preset button to apply it in the future.

2. Puppeteer
You can now animate other avatar's hands, this is great for photographers with multiple avatars to pose. Simply click the Puppeteer button and select a nearby avatar. That avatar will need to accept animation permissions and also be wearing bento enabled hands.

3. AO
You can now use your FATE Hand Poser HUD as a custom bento hand animation override. Click the 'AO Settings' button and click 'LIST' on the popup menu to configure which preset poses are used in the AO. Your avatar will switch to a random pose in this list during random intervals (as long as the HUD is attached).

4. Minimise/Maximise
The FATE Hand Poser HUD now has more UI control, allowing a full minimise and maximise of the HUD, Hand Controllers or Presets Panels individually to allow for greater visibility, you can also scale the HUD to your own preferences using the build tools.

For best results, disable any built in AO for your bento hands through their HUD or by manually stopping your animations.

It doesn't work

This thing doesn't work as it should. As soon as you finish posing one finger, some other finger stops its animation and working. I expected this to be built smartly taking into account the limitations of the amounts of animations that can be played at once but it doesn't. Do not waste your money on this, isn't worth it. It's better to get just whatever pack of hand poses or similar.
Also, support sucks because it's inexistent. Tried to contact the creator a couple of times through notecards and IMs but they never reply. Definitely not recommended.

When will the bugs be fixed?

It's an interesting pose, it works well with anyposer. However, as soon as I change the fingers of the second hand, the pose breaks. If there is a solution, I'm interested. It takes time to place. So if you lose the pose stupidly, it's questionable. Otherwise, the joints are easy to modify, it remains an interesting pose despite the bugs. The creator being absent, it is difficult to ask for help.

An essential tool for photographers

Has everything you really need and is really the only game in town for detailed hand poses.

For people new to this tool:

There are some bugs (likely SL bugs, since they affect other posers). I mention this so you don't get flustered or leave a bad review. You'll spot them if you are using multiple animators like this one in combination with something like Animare or the Lelutka Axis face HUD.

Also, don't get frustrated with some of the learning curve. The thumbs and hand position (not the fingers) are a bit of a mystery at first with what makes what do what. Take time and get to know them. Keep the butterfly effect in mind: what you do might affect more than one thing if you are editing a pre-made pose.

Hi, I purchased this to improve my photography and modeling. At first I couldn't get it to move my fingers while I was on the AnyPose, and then I stood off and I also could not get my fingers to move.

Here's what I had to do for my fingers (Maitreya Lara) to work with the Fate Hand Poser Hud and the AnyPose. I got off the AnyPose, then I went into my Lara HUD and on the Hands/Feet Tab, at the bottom below all the bento hand animations, press "STOP ANIMATIONS" then I got back on the AnyPose if you're using a stand, or just go to the Hud next if not, and on the AnyPose Hud go to the Expressions Tab. On the Expressions Tab of the AnyPose hud just Press "Stop" for each hand poser. Once I did that it worked perfectly.

The only other thing I can suggest is if that doesn't work, apply two hand poses first in the AnyPose hud then stop them, but that really shouldn't be needed.

I have no issues using these all together. I think that your manual should add this information for anyone just wanting it to work right away, not realizing, there are important steps first.

Also, consider if your AnyPose isn't working, try getting a redelivery.
