Friend Alert is a tool for finding out when a resident is online, even when you are not.
Get a text message on your cell phone when that special someone logs in. Or get an email, or both.
The person you are watching for doesn't need to be on your FRIENDS list, or even know who you are.
That person will only know you are monitoring his online status if you choose to tell him.
Many configuration options, and you get to put in the exact text that will be in the emails and text messages that you receive.
You can use as many copies as you like, so you can monitor as many people as you like.
This is not a HUD, and not an attachment but an actual object that you rez and leave working even when you are logged out.
It is only one prim and you can place it anywhere you can rez items.
It has a picture frame mode, where it will automatically look up the person's profile picture, or you can drop in any texture image you wish. And since you can make copies, you could even have a whole wall of your friends' pictures, and turn the alerts off and on easily for all of them.
Of course, since the prim is modifiable, you could also just make it transparent and tiny, so it "disappears."

the item is 5 stars so far is very accurate , what u pay for is what u get, very easy to set up has clear instructions which leave no place for misunderstanding.
So, I actually asked the creator before hand if my cell company would work with this being as I don't have a giant carrier. Not only was he helpful and gave me the info I needed, mind you this was before my purchase, but he IM'ed me a while after to check on what had happened and if I needed further help. I absolutely love this product, and the customer service I received!! If I could give it more stars I would!! BTW, any US Cellular clients, this works!!
Ok after a week or two of use i do believe this little item is absolutly underpriced and even under a heavy lag scenerio it still works and after talking to the creator if this is a taste of things to come he has me hooked its simple. place the item inworld at your place. open it up and edit the script(dont worry if ya worried about that the creator will help out alot) and then it begans to work
A great tool if you like to keep track of those you care about while you are not in SL! I love it to bit, smiles.
The fact that it is copy makes it even more usefull in the sence that you can rezz multiple copies and keep track of more than one person etc.
Very "usefun" tool to get in touch with your SL friends when you cannot be online! It also gives you the ability to send a message back to your friends logged in through your email address.. Great feature, thank you Wolfe!
Nifty lil gadet, suits me perfectly since I have a very hectic real life with limited time online.
Love the feature that I can reply on my email without them sending an im to me first!
