A holo-emitter for SL.
It’s similar to the holodecks you see in Star Trek - you click it, a menu comes up, you select a scene and poof! The scene appears in all its 3D glory.
I call it a “Holo-Emitter System.” I prefer that name because “holodeck” imples a room, whereas this system can fill an entire sim (unlike some other holodecks in SL, which are limited to a small region near the control center). It’s also different from a “holo-vendor” in that each scene can be made up of multiple unlinked objects. Lastly, if you move the holo-emitter 4 meters north (or whatever) and rez a scene, then the scene will also be moved 4 meters north: the scene’s position is relative to the holo-emitter.

Why didn't I try this first ? !
So easy to use if you have building and very minor script knowledge eg , almost 0 needed re the script part . Others have copied and then sold for £200+ ....... . Thanks for this fabulous gift to the community :)
Amazing!
Played around with it for about thirty minutes and have a four season, quick click, set-up.
Thank you for sharing!
Awesome
This has been working flawlessly for me, and who can argue with the price when competing systems can cost up to 3000 Lindens.
Doesn't seem to work unless the emitter is close to what it's rezzing.
I'm sure it works fine for typical use cases, but for me it just did not work at all.
I was attempting to set it up as a rezzer system for my 4096sq.m. mainland parcel where the emitter would be located at a permanent hub, and the skyboxes it would be rezzing would be at a location 400m below.
I only got as far as setting up one 30 object skybox because in every single rez attempt, the rezzer misplaced 3 or more objects. Sometimes placing them a couple hundred metres away, sometimes placing them a few thousand metres away at ground level in a neighboring parcel. And it was generally different objects on each rez attempt. Sometimes it would be a few pieces of furniture. Sometimes it would be all of the wall decorations, sometimes it would be the room object itself.
I'm not sure if the issue is the number of objects (30) or the distance between the emitter and the skybox being rezzed (400m) but it just would not work. The rezzable area of the parcel is 64x64m, the rezzer itself was near the centre of the parcel and nothing being rezzed came close to the edges of the parcel.
It's a freebie and the system itself is super simple to set up and use, so definitely pick it up and give it a try. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else has similar ideas and runs into the same issues.
Just what I wanted
This is just great, really simple and flexible to use, it means I have as many rooms in my burrow as I want for my stuff without using a zillion prims :) Such fun and magic!
