With the Impulse Dash 2.1, you can do so much. You are able to dash across a whole simulator in less than a couple seconds, set the booster power to anything you wish, blast through walls and obstacles, strafe left and right, stop movement in all directions, or go into mouselook and boost in any direction. You will not bounce off of walls as you can with other boosters or go flying in a random direction. This script is tried and extensively tested and I am sure you will be satisfied with this product, especially for it's price!

Commands:
1. /1dash help - Show a command list
2. /1dash on - Turn the booster on and retake controls if they were somehow lost.
3. /1dash off - Release booster controls and deactivate.
4. /1dash particles - Turn on or off the particle effects for while you boost.
5. /1dash sound - Turn on or off the sound played when you boost (You can add your own sound by dropping it in the booster's inventory)

Strafing:
1. In mouselook activate the booster and hold left or right.
2. In mouselook double tap left or right.

* Activating Booster:
1. Hold forward and back keys down and release one.
2. Hold up and down keys down and release one.
3. Double tap a movement key (forward back etc)

Changing Speed:
Booster speed is only limited by the physics and energy in the prim.
Type /1dash speed #
(ex /1dash speed 500)

Stop Movement:
The following will stop movement if you are pushed or flying with the booster.
1. Hold forward and back
2. Hold up and down

Changing Sound:
To change the booster sound, just add the sound to the booster's contents.
To disable sounds, use the /1dash sound command.

Changing Particles:
The particle script is full permissions, and there are several particle and sound effects for sale at Vendors
Advanced:
On booster start the linked message is sent to itself with the string is "BOOST_ON" or "BOOST_OFF"

  • Zip across a sim easily, or fly around like a jet in mouselook.
  • Easy to use, simple double tap activation, not obtrusive.

even on the lowest setting it is too fast for me to use..cant turn easily either.
Notecard says particle script is full perms..thinking i can change the speed in there, turn sound off, or so it doesnt chat on/off..script isn't. It's no mod/no trans. seeing as how it specifies particle script yet the item is 1 prim and 1 script.
If wasn't using this to RP then would have to give it 5 stars for its Fun factor to shoot across the sim at lightspeed and possibly across linden ocean into oblivion and beyond =]

settings like sound and most important dash speed are reset on detaching/attaching, making it completely useless for me

Works TOO Good

Yes, this increases your speed--too much. Even when adjusted to the slowest speed, it has a strong possibility to create horrible lag (the kind that causes you to crash out of SL), go out of the region, and even deform your avatar.

I can't say I recommend this product; it wasn't much fun for me.

I really like this handy little tool..I got so tired of moving so slow when I walked and ran. Now I can no longer complain. Only thing I don't like is when I run off of a sim by accident. But I cannot seem to control it sometimes..((Shrugs)) I'm still satisfied! :))
