.Lya. Object Scanner HUD
version 3.0
Designed and Developed by Lyanis Sin
==========================================

Thank you for your purchase of Object Scanner HUD. This tool allows you to input one or more keywords to search for objects OR avatars around you for up to 96m. It has the option to do a full SIM Scan. The HUD keeps a history of the objects that satisfy your keyword entered .Also it will keep scanning as you walk around until you click the Stop button. This makes it easy for searching items.

** NEW FEATURES in v3.0 - More info in sections IV , V and VI.

I. Instructions==================================
1) Wear the HUD. It gets attached automatically to the center HUD attachment point but it will adjust itself automatically to the bottom right side of your screen. If you want to change its position just select another attachment point and adjust accordingly.

-At start it will ask you for control permissions. This process is only done once unless you detach the HUD. In which case you will have to do it again.

2) To start using it just type '/20 <any keyword>'. 20 is the default channel that you use to communicate with the tool. This channel number can be edited by going to the configuration notecard inside the tool (explained more in detail later).

3) You will notice that if you input more than one word it will do 2 searches at once. That is good when you are looking for more than 1 item.

- If you want to search for example: "black dog" but not 'black' and 'dog' separately you will have to surround the words in " ".
This tells the HUD to search only for dogs that are black. (assuming that name appears exactly in the same number in the object's name).

- If you don't know the name of the object itself try searching for the owner of the object. You don't have to type the whole name, just type the first name or surround the complete name in " ".
IMPORTANT: You can't search for the owner's name if the person you are searching for is not ONLINE.

- You can also search for the object's description.

- To search for an object that you know EXACTLY its name, type /20 e - This will open another menu where you can control the settings of the AV monitor thing that appears when the HUD is not showing.
i) Close - Press this to close the dialog menu.

II. Sim scan initial setup=============================
The first time you try to do a sim scan it will go through a setup phase. This phase is only done once unless you have gotten a new update of the HUD, in which case you will have to do it again.

1) Rez the 'objectscan.; ' item that comes in the same folder of your HUD.
2) Right click it and select Edit.
3) Accept the permissions.
4) Take the object back.
5) Drop the HUD on the floor, right click it and select Open.
6) Put the new 'objectscan.;' inside the HUD.
7) Take the HUD and wear it.
8) Click the radar and select Sim Scan.

Once done. You will be able to type /20 <keyword> to begin the sim scanning. It will take some time to scan the whole sim. You will be alerted when it is done. Or if you want to stop it manually just click the radar again and select 'Stop'.
If you happen to screw up and put the 'objectscan.;' inside the H

I bought this just after I got the MystiTool, but after using it for a bit, I'm sticking with the .Lya. HUD. I rarely need the object scanner (although that's what I bought it for). However, this HUD has teleport history, flight assist, and radar built in, which is really all I used the MystiTool for, and it's much easier to use.

High marks for this tool. I recommend it to everyone.

Love this item. Has always worked perfectly for me. And it works faster on each update. Great product. Suggestion, you should put "search" in the dialog, so it only listens when you want it to, thus taking away a little more lag that listeners create.

Lyanis originally made this tool to help me with my building projects since I would always lose items I made or objects that I bought.

It's very simple to use, and works very efficiently. You can search for objects with a partial name, use inverted commas for a more accurate search, or search by owner name. The best way to find things is to fly around and let the device collect and build up a list of searches, which you can then just click and teleport to the locations.

I have also used this on treasure hunts and found 10 objects in under 15 minutes.

Someone gave this a bad review - turns out that it is an alt of one of the competitors who charges more for something that basically does the same thing but with a clumsier interface and a slower script runtime. It's a shame that merchants have to down rate other's products just to boost up their own.

I have used many scanners, and this one works the best - what else can you expect from someone who is a professional programmer in RL.

I can only search for a object by the name of the object. What is if I don´t know the name? After 10 tries of scanning i got a script error. wonderful. not worth the money
