UPDATED FOR CEF-BASED VIEWERS

This TV's primary feature is the ability to keep videos synced between different viewers. The way that webpage media on a prim works on SL means that every person watching the video has their own instance of the website running in a browser on the prim. What one person sees won't always match what someone else sees, especially if someone comes and starts watching partway through!

MD Sync TV solves this problem, and adds in some extra, useful features, such as a graphical, editable playlist, automatic advance to the next video in the playlist, resolution settings and a scrubber bar to seek to specific points in the video. It does all of this without using an external web service. It's completely contained in the scripts in the TV itself, meaning your purchase isn't tied to a server that could go down if I ended up broke.

It's a powerful system, but one without the bloat commonly seen in high-priced SL televisions. This TV was made to do one thing well, and do it more smoothly than anyone else.

Supported websites are: Youtube, Twitch.tv (saved videos, streams, and clips), Dailymotion, Picarto.tv and Livestream. More may be added in the future, but not all websites can be set up to work on this TV, due to limitations with their respective APIs.

This TV requires Shared Media, (Sometimes called prim media or media on a prim.) Ensure that your viewer and settings support it!

Perfect media player for clubs

I've bought this player for my club, so I can have video clip nights. This media player works like a charm, keeps everyone in sync, even the late comers, is easy to use and can be resized as needed. I have yet to find any downside to it – except for some Youtube restrictions for which the creator really is not to blame. :) Awesome job!

Disappointing

More a testbed for a sync method than a user item. A lot of work might make it worth buying.

By far the best telly I've used. Easy to use, great simple customisation, and the scripting is fantastic.

Easy to add videos and playlists and lets people sync in to where the video is up to. Great for watching videos with friends.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. I even tried to break it by giving it obnoxiously long videos and playlists. It handled both of these things like a boss. Very impressive, very sturdy, very simple, lovely piece of hardware. 10/10 would sync again.
