║ To make use of the "shortcodes" feature (outlined below), the files containing a shortcode CANNOT
║ contain any embedded inventory items which causes the notecard to become unreadable.
║ This is a limitation of an LSL function which is out of our control.

║ The NFS (Notecard Filing System) is an excellent tool for both personal & group use.
║ It's capable of holding large quantities of notecards, and offers great operation flexibility!
║
║ The System Manager allows you to setup the system exactly how you want users to operate it!
║ Add users by name, then specify their permissions; you choose to allow or disallow access to view
║ files, add files, and remove files.
║
║ You can also allow one or more groups access to the system — adding groups is much like adding a
║ a user to the system. Simply input the group UUID, then specify the permissions to view files, add files,
║ and remove files. Anyone (other than a user already listed) that is wearing a permitted group tag will
║ be able to access the system and be granted the permissions that has been defined for that group.
║
║ The most unique feature offered in this system is the 'File Shortcodes'!
║ Shortcodes may allow you to: set a file under a specific category or lock a file with a password which
║ has to be validated before it can be delivered.
║
║ Those who have authorized access to view files can choose to view all files that are in the system,
║ search for files based on file name OR by category (set via category shortcode). Upon selecting a file,
║ the user is presented with options to: "Deliver File" and "Remove File" (if permissions are set).
║
║ If you or a fellow user has removed a file, whether it be intentional or not, the owner can restore it!
║ All deleted files are kept on-hand in a separate directory which can be accessed by the owner.
║ This directory can be manually cleared by the owner only at anytime!
║
║ The system also has a backup feature which allows the owner to make a complete backup of all the
║ files that are presently in the system. This action creates a separate object which all files will be
║ copied to, and is recorded with a timestamp. Backups can then easily be picked up and stored in your
║ inventory.

This is the best thing we could ever wish for to be used in our coast guard. Our recruits go out and patrol ours sims, write reports in a nc and they used to give them to one of the higher rankings. This didn't always work and we didn't have an overview. With this we have a clear view of all the reports our recruits submit to it.
And the best part? It has detailed information on how to add the system in something else than the file cabinet. We put it in a computer; I wanted to have the screen display a message to alert for newly added reports. so i asked the creator, he immediately went to action and went far and beyond to get it working as i wanted. These days you rarely come across people like that in SL. I am deeply impressed by the efforts he made for us. I told him he deserved way more stars than the 5 i can only give here; So here are some more :-) ★★★★★★★★★★

I am so impressed with the careful scripting evident in this filing system. It's a very clever product and already I would be lost without it. I had a question about modifying it and the creator was quick to respond, very friendly and knowledgeable, too. So great!
I'm using this cabinet plus the drop-box add on to organize a very busy RP group. Applicants can leave their information in our mailbox and all of our mentors can then view those forms and update them as necessary.
In another instance, I'm using one to keep member records. The category feature is fantastic - it's so amazing to be able to call up everyone from a certain group at once. (I use the notecard titles to tag files, too. It gives me a few ways to search, then.)
It wasn't hard to set up and it's simple enough that I didn't have to spend a long time showing anyone else how to use it, either, which I greatly appreciate. It's brilliant, truly! Thank you again, Johnny!
