Most raw files are either flat terrain or terrain that's too rugged to allow placement of houses and other buildings. The Mountain Valley terrain file gives you plenty of hills and valleys, a winding river, and a good sized center lake but still allows you lots of room for houses, barns, shops, or anything else you want to put out. Lovely without trees and absolutely stunning with the addition of a few trees and grasses.

Nice variety of landscapes
I was not feeling too imaginative with my first sim and this sucker looked pretty good so I snagged it. One of my better impulse buys in SL! It works well as it is, and also as a neat template for further terraforming, which I am doing. And Sky gives great service too! - so patient with a hopeless newbie like me lol.
