I've owned this tool since the version 3 days, and I have to say that I'd even pay for the updates if I had to!

The most advanced sculpting tool in-world bar none.

For anyone who struggles with complicated 3D modeling programs, this tool is for you. All you need is basic SL building skills and one or two visits to the Sculpt Studio classes inworld to learn the basics.

These days there is a wiki site that is dedicated to the studio, a flickr group for displaying pics, and of course the greatest asset of all, the Sweet Sculpties group that can offer help to newcomers and keeps everyone informed of Sculpt classes and office hours.

Sculpt studio has some of the best support available -- the author has office hours and is very willing to help anyone use his creation. There is a growing community of SS users that give of their time to help others too. Although I am not an expert at using this yet, I can see it has the potential to create just about any sculpt I want to make inworld. And it's constantly updated, bugs are fixed, and the package just keeps getting better. Five Stars.

This tool is the best in world tool for making Sculpted Prims : Just be ware you will not be an expert over night Like any other high end program there is a learning curve. The support for this tool is awesome, and there are a lot of people that use this tool that will help you use it. So if you are looking for the best sculpting tool on SL you found it

Bought this ages ago, it’s almost become a permanent fixture in my workplace. For the basics its simple enough but to use it properly you need to be familiar with the concept of sculpties, texturing and building in SL, then it really is an incredibly versatile tool.

Don't expect it to be capable of everything, there are other sculpty makers that are better (easier) at some things than Sculpt Studio which may be a reason that some feel frustrated, but quite honestly anyone giving this product less than 4 stars needs to start looking for personal problems and a one or two needs medical attention.

You need to do your planning properly, know what you want to build and how you are going to build it then it is very quick and easy to use. Even very complex shapes can be produced with extreme accuracy. The mistake many people make is that they don’t do the RL paper/pencil/plan/calculate bit.

The price, is it really expensive? Indeed it costs more than a Big-Mac but then if you add fries and a large drink you are not far off. The products that I made using Sculpt Studio paid for it and much much more within the first few days. I now have 3D palm tree groups of three trees using just 2 prims made with Sculpt Studio. Such things would have been very difficult if not impossible with most of the other programs. Even so, if I want a quick rock then I prefer "sculptypaint" which makes my point; if you want to make everything then one product is not enough, but what Sculpt Studio does it does well and makes light work of a very complex process - that rates as a 5 in my book.
