Sculpt Studio & Mesh Studio
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Sculpt Studio and Mesh Studio are in-world content creation tools, with additional web-based components.
They help SL content creators to bridge the gap between in-world building and the creation of Sculpts and Meshes.
The best way to learn about Sculpt Studio and/or Mesh Studio is by asking friends who already have experience. There are a lot of us in SL. If you need to find such a friend first, please visit our (very large) official support groups listed below.

See item in Second LifeThe instructions don't match. The Flip Chart has an extra step not covered in the written Documentation. Following step by step should be self-explanatory but isn't. You rezz a sliced shape, then build something on top of it that doesn't resemble the original item you rezzed. What's going on? The end of the basic instructions is only a hint of what may come next. Does not bode well for a newbie, much less an experienced builder. Programmers should never create documentation. They are too close to the product, they can't think like a 'civilian'. This civilian is not happy with the documentation at all.
an awesome tool, pretty intuitive, just wish i had more time to spend with it .. love it!
I love sculpt studio BUT the mesh inside the numbers are upside down and it's a little hard for some to grasp because of it.
This is a wonderful product. I am able to use my SL building skills and transfer those into sculpties. While there is a long learning curve, the results are well worth it.
This is by far the best in-world sculpty tool that I've seen. It has loads of features and is capable of making some complex shapes fairly easily once you get the hang of it. The learning curve is a bit steep, but usually the most capable tools take the most time to learn anyway. I'd recommend Sculptyspace to preview your sculpties prior to uploading them. It's free and compliments Sculpt Studio very nicely. If you plan to do very complex shapes, you'll probably still need to use an external program like Wings3d or Blender to finish off the shapes, but Sculpt Studio does a great job of getting the initial shape done. There's also plenty of support if you need it. The group is great, the tutorials on the webpage are a huge help, and the creator is very helpful and has regular office hours. Plus, he's often updating the product with new and useful features. So far, owning Sculpt Studio has been a great experience, and fun too.
