-- This Apartment Features :

Fully scripted dialog interface available from the central control console (restricted to owner) with the following options:

Collision : This setting allows you to change the sound effect made when avatars and objects collide with the Skybox or move around inside of it, it is the dull "thunk" noise heard when bumping into things. This can be set to "Silent" if you would prefer no sound be made. Please note, choosing this option will silence the impact sound of any and all objects hitting the skybox.

Security : This setting changes how the front door functions. By default, it is locked to its owner and will display (GREEN) lights. In addition, if another user attemps to access the door it will say their name followed by a short message. Selecting the "All Access" button will allow anyone who touches the door to open it, and the lights will turn (RED) indicating that the apartment is not locked. The 'Alerts' button will toggle the sound and notification that is displayed in chat when an unauthorized user attempts to access the door when the door is locked. If the Alerts are turned off, the door will remain locked and attempts to access it by unauthorized users will silently fail.

Lighting : This setting opens a sub-group with 5 further options, these buttons toggle individual lighting zones (rooms) on and off in different areas of the apartment, indicated by their name. *NOTE for modders, please read section "2b" on modding for further details about the effects of this menu.

Blinds : This button opens and closes the exterior blinds when clicked.

Additionally the bathroom features an enterable shower with a working door. The default dimensions of the Skybox are:

Size : 18.4 x 5.9 x 19.3 (Root Prim)
Land Impact : 60
Front Door & Kitchen Height Clearance : 6ft, 8in. (Avatar Height)
Interior Doorway Height Clearance : 7ft, 8in. (Avatar Height)

--

Upon rezzing the Skybox it will register its new owner and be immediatly ready to use.

All elements within the skybox are consistently scaled, meaning that users who wish to make the apartment larger (to accomodate large avatars or interior decor) may do so simply by stretching the whole apartment through the *edit* menu. PLEASE NOTE: Land Impact will increase proportionately to the size of the apartment. Increasing the size by ~15% yields a land impact increase of roughly 10 prims, and the apartment should never reasonably need to exceed additional scaling of ~20% beyond its default size.

Good apartment
full star full star full star full star full star Posted March 24, 2019 by Furri Hiereichler

The previous issue I had turned out to most likely be an issue with SL itself rather than an issue with this product, so I am redoing my review

As the above issue is not the fault of the creator, then I have no issues with this apartment except for two very minor ones

Firstly, that it can be difficult to fit a refrigerator in the kitchen area; however, as this is remaining true to the source material as I understand it, I do not consider it a flaw with the product and it does not negatively affect my review in any way!

Secondly, when the blind shutters are closed, sometimes objects viewed through it disappear from some angles, however I believe this to simply be a limitation of SL itself, so again does not affect my review

Overall for the price it is a very good apartment skybox, great for those who are fans of Deus Ex, or Cyberpunk themes in general, especially when compared to its competition which is incredibly overpriced (*cough* Neurolab) or simply not up to par with this quality

Easily 5/5 :D

I absolutely love this! But...
full star full star full star full star empty star Posted January 04, 2019 by Skyler OwO

My only issue with this appartment skybox is the lack of interior doors as well as the non-functioning kitchen / bathroom. Otherwise, this is a absolutely wonderful Sci-fi home!

Looks very nice but not without problems.

It looks nice and I wont get into the details of that because you can go see it in world yourself via the link. My issues with it are how the camera gets pushed around by the walls, particularly in the bedroom and bathroom. I thought I could maybe get over it but it's pretty bad and one of my big house peeves is when your camera gets forced halfway into the room just because your back is against this wall or that even though there should be plenty of room. My other beef is the bathroom, the toilet is part of the "vanity" and shower so they can't be pieced out to replace. Replacing the whole thing isn't doable without also putting your own prims down with different wall/floor textures as there are massive shadows baked into the wall and floor texture for the vanity/shower/toilet. I love homes that are complete and have the natural things a real home would have but even if I go all out to swap out the bathroom I can't ever get around the massive problem of walls jerking/pushing the camera around. It's a nice skybox but I'm going to look for something else.

Great apartment, but it not perfect

I love this skybox. it's perfect for any sci-fi lover who wants a sci-fi apartment and isn't all metal, filled with random screens and actually looks like a real place to live in.
from what I can tell every part of it is moddable but most of them are one piece. so if you wanted to, say, make a gap in the kitchen to add a refrigerator, then tough luck.
but if the lack of a fridge doesn't bother you and have enough accessories then you can make this skybox really homey. I only wish it had the secret compartment like from the game it's based on.

Nice

Fits well in the sky on a Linden premium parcel without taking too many prims. Main room is a good usable size.

One non-showstopping nitpick...outside door opening is too short and makes accessing the outside through the only outside doorway impractical without reducing height of MY avatar. Mesh prevents a fix for this. Inside doorways are fine.

I always asked for this.

Almost everything about this skybox is perfect. The textures alone with all the bells and whistles of the amazing shine effects really gives a life-like quality, and the mesh is expertly crafted. The lighting and blinds being adjustable is a lovely addition, however it was disappointing that the kitchen and bathroom had very little interaction. The shower door can open, but as far as I know the shower itself can't be turned on.

Other then this grievance, I've never been happier with a house in my year in SL so far. The look and feel is all lovingly polished and just bleeds atmosphere, even without furniture in it. Trust me, it is well worth the price tag, which I'm surprised isn't higher with the level of quality you're getting.

Also, it's Adam Jenson's apartment from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, so it gets bonus points. ♥
