For now LSL scripts can not listen directly to IM, and therefore can not translate Instant Messages. However Q-Translator provides three different tools to handle private translated conversation
1. Private channels: to translate IMs using copy/paste
2. Private messages: an alternative ways to send private messages to anyone within same SIM, you can engage a both side translated conversation (even only you has Q-Translator)
3. Messenger: a working solution to have equivalent of translated IM. Q-Messenger is a communication system to have private translated conversation with someone anywhere on SL Grid. Look at the video.
Fully works in no-script area
If you attach your HUD in a script area and you move into an no-script area Q-Translator will continue to operate. Now the HUD interface will also work as you were in a normal script area.

I love this Translator! It's the best I've owned, I extremely love the spellchecker! I'm not one of the best spellers in secondlife, or first life for that matter, and I've only had this for about 3 days and I never take it off! It's just wonderful!

This translator is really good and translates well even in busy places like Elements club it worked fine.
I went and bought one for myself, finally, after my wife reported being very satisfied with hers.
I feel compelled to say that I am *extremely* impressed by this product. The help/documentation is outstanding, the product works as well as any product in it's class possibly can, and the attention to detail is nothing short of extraordinary.
I sincerely wish I'd have gotten one of these earlier.
Very good translator, I don't know anything but English and this one helps me communicate to my customers without searching for an interpreter.
