**I'm aware that the instructions notecard is empty
Instructions:
Put the Swimmer on the ground, take the animations+the wolf.swim notecard and drop them in it's contents, wear it, click the second button, click load, and select Wolf. You should be able to use it now :)**
!! THESE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE SHAPE MODS (dire, huge and 75%smaller), please be aware of that before buying !!
A pack of 4 swimming animations for the Twi Mesh Timber Wolf avatar.
Compatible with Siggy's WaterWorks 'The Swimmer'.
(They were in fact made especially for The Swimmer)
You're free to use them for anything else.
What is 'The Swimmer'?
A wearable hud which enables you to swim across SL (and scripted prim water) water smoothly, rather than sink and walk underwater. You can easily "dive" by pressing C.
The Swimmer is NOT included, you must buy it separately if you want that.
Descriptions not clear.
You need another swimmer mod for this mod to work and the author makes it seem like the mod you clearly need is just an optional addition. I'm sure the mod works good, but I am unable to test it since this is completely useless without this other mod. I'd rather have my money back at this point.
Good mod, but as many say, directions could be clearer.
The author makes it sound like the swimmer mod is optional. It is not, you must have the swimmer mod in order for it you work, and you must put the animations and note into the contents of that swimmer mod. The mod can be found here, https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/The-Swimmer-206-from-Waterworks-Swim-in-prim-OR-sim-water/908729 By second button, the author means the blue button that shows up nearest to the right of the screen, with the green dot. This button will show up when you wear the swimmer hud. Be aware of the fact that when you place the swimmer hud on the ground in order to place the wolf animations inside of it, the hud will disappear and you must retrieve it by special means, or lose it forever. This forum thread is what helped me retrieve it. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/General/Picking-up-invisible-phantom-items/qaq-p/686941
I hope that helped somewhat for those who had trouble, the swimming animations themselves are nice, if you view them from under the water while your character is moving, they do look a bit sharp, but it does its job well.
Very happy with this!
Read the instructions on the Details page first.
You need The Swimmer from Siggy's Waterworks as well. Load the TWI Timber Wolf swim animations into The Swimmer as instructed on the Details page here, and the animations work fine ... the dog paddle looks realistic.
This animation does NOT work for the TWI Fox or TWI Cougar. This animation DOES work with the TWI Bear, though he swims with his head a bit high above the water .... TWI: additional swim note cards specifically for the bear, fox, and cougar to load into The Swimmer would be welcome.
Side note: choose Default on The Swimmer, and my Bigfoot can also swim. :-)
works for TWI Lion, too
I bought this hoping it would work for my TWI Lion, because I really couldn't find a decent feral swimming HUD or mod that worked for me. This works. The animations look a little weird at times, but it works. I did struggle a little with the installation. My advice is to follow the instructions in The Swimmer HUD for installing your own animations. Clearer instructions (or the removal of the blank instruction notecard) are a must if this is ever updated.
Ugh
Not only are the instructions in the description horrible, but it also simply says 'Swimmer not included'
Specify that by 'The swimmer' You dont mean the swimming wolf, you mean the HUD.
Also note there is no link, other store, owner, anything of the HUD's existence. If you found these, there would be near 0 indication it was only 1 piece of a puzzle. This is very displeasing, not worth, and a waste of 350 linden that I wish I could get back or at least help the writer with a new description to make it clearer
Excellent!
Very nice animations, smooth and nice to look at. I use it with another swimmer(not this creator's) and it's working very well. Worth every penny for TWI wolf lovers!
