HOW DOES IT WORK?
WD Parrot continually scan the area, When an avatar get in the detection range (default 3m) WD Parrot will greet and turn at the avatar direction.
If chatbot option is enabled, WD PARROT will respond to local chat conversation.
When no one is in detection range, WD Parrot will return to initial pose.
Greeting example : WD PARROT: Hi WallaGo Dingson, Have great time at WD HOME. Detect automatically the parcel name.
SETUP:
1. Rez the WD PARROT and place it.
2. (Optional) Rename it's name. Right click > Edit > object
MENU:
1. DISABLE/ENABLE CHAT - Enable or disable the chatbot feature built in. When this feature is enabled, the parrot will respond to local chat.
2. RESET - Restart the WD PARROT.
3. SIZE - Make the WD PARROT bigger or smaller, Land impact might change.
4. SHOW LOG - Show list of events that occurred recently.
5. RANGE- Change range of detection.
6. CLOSE - Close this menu.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
1. Click on Reset.
2. Delete and rez a new copy.
3. Send notecard or IM to wallago dingson.
A very good replacement!
I had another one which' A.I. died for some reason. This parrot looks just as nice and features even a few more options (although it is not animated like my old one, but on the other hand: it saves 2 prims LI in comparison, and the 'puppeteer' scripts are a little laggy anyway).
One recommendation to the shop: Add your "How-To" as a notecard. Currently the shop's description is the only one we got (although the menu is mostly self explaining) - but keep in mind: after a few months we customers can never remind where to find this product again. I myself copied the description to a notecard in my WD parrot folder. Just in case ;)
