Wolfhaven LOW PRIM MultiVendor System v2.0
=============================
The Wolfhaven LOW PRIM MultiVendor System (WHV) is a low prim vendor that will revolutionize the retail industry within Second Life!
The Original version of these vendors were stand alone models (WHV v1.0) that allowed you to display LOTS of items in only a few prim of space.
This new version does the same thing. BUT.... it's NETWORKED!
Now here's the really INTERESTING part.... The WHV2 Vendor is ONLY SIX PRIM!
That's right..... SIX PRIM!
UPDATE: 10-6-2006 ---> NOW INCLUDED with the system is the new WHV2 Networked MultiVend4 - 4 Panel MultiVendor! This new unit is only 5 prims, and displays 4 items at a time. It will work with the existing servers too! (Current owners of the WHV2 system can contact Traven Sachs in world to receive this new vendor model at no additional charge.)
This vendor has SEVERAL very attractive features
1) LOW prim usage (Will fit comfortably in the SMALLEST Prim Rental)
2) LOW bandwidth usage (Doesn't throw a lot of data at the user client so it's FAST!)
3) Ability to pay COMMISSIONS
4) Ability to sell up to 96 items per product line!
5) Networking
6) The server can also act as an SL Exchange (www.xstreetsl.com) Magic Box (No more keeping two sets of inventory!)
This is accomplished through a combination of ingenuity, innovation, and clean scripting.

The typical multi-image vendor can have as few as three and as many as 20 images displayed simultaneously, but those vendors use one prim for each image displayed. The WHV series uses TWO prims to display images. This is accomplished through the use of IMAGE TILING. One prim displays the current 16 image tile and the other prim displays the current selected image as an enlargement ON that tile.
The image loaded into the vendor is created using a graphics program such as Photoshop or XNView (www.xnview.com to get it FREE), which conveniently comes with an automated ability to create contact sheets of images. When saved, as a
High Quality JPG image, the image file can be anywhere from 60-300K in size. This is a SINGLE TEXTURE. A multidisplay vendor will throw anywhere from 3 to 32 times as much data at a client looking at a vending machine. This creates slow load times and customer frustration.
Not so with the WHV series. All of the images are displayed as a single texture per 16 item page that loads VERY quickly, giving the customer what they want - FAST action and the ability to SELECT YOUR PRODUCT. You can not buy what you can not see!
