- Profile
House of Alisha is one of the largest suppliers of accurately reproduced period gowns in Second Life with a large proportion of our gowns being based on real ones I have either studied or sometimes made in RL.
Unique to us are our special scripted skirts and trains which both include a "click on the skirt" AO with an elegant walk and pose and also special scripts to prevent skirts flying up when walking. Sitting scripts are also includes to avoid showing bare legs when sitting whilst some of the latest products have trains that follow the contours of the ground and can even wrap around your legs just like in RL - though I haven't added the usual next RL step of tripping over it and ending in a heap on the floor :-)
Because our AOs are scripted directly to the requirements of the gown it causes lower lag than most other AOs but it can still be turned off if you prefer to use your own AO by clicking on the skirt and selecting "AO Off".
More recently we have been introducing a range of prim based autobots. These are all scripted for low lag and most do not use the Second Life physics engine for their movement which saves a huge amount of server time. This has the disadvantage that when moving stairs or uneven ground are not handled properly but the advantage that you can easily have a hundred or more of them running as with the Crowd Generator product yet still not produce appreciable lag. One or two products are physics enabled but these are clearly marked as such as rezzing a hundred of these would bring a sim to its knees.
