Ad photo deliberately misleading
Ordinarily this would be an marginally okay item, but the price and the deceptive nature of the ad photo made me remove an extra star.
The statue is much, much brighter than it looks in this photo. It is a pearly off-white and not gray. If you are planning to incorporate it into a build, it would have to be marble or some bright polished stone. The photo is taken in very flattering shadows to make it look higher in quality and more natural in stone color.
The textures are heavily photosourced in appearance and the baked on shadows are unnatural. Honestly for a 3d prim object it looks little better than those flat textures of statues you find all over. I can't imagine where you'd place this statue to make it blend in.
There is also no reason for this item at its price not to be modify. At least then you'd be able to tint it and help it blend in.
This creator has put out some good products that you see all over -- mostly animals -- and should know better than to use a display ad that is so misleading.
art for sure...
i was a upset when i unpacked it. on the ad it looks much darker and the texture looks much cleaner like the prims too. sure, i could have went to the shop and look there,... but that isn't the point... if i see ads, i like to trust them and be sure what i get. the work is really amazing that i can't doubt but 1,5k is a bit too much for the quality of texture.
