Once you get the hang of it, then it works like a charm!

Good tool, flexible, well thought out, and well written.

I bought this Texture Changer script to integrate it into products that I make and sell, in which I wanted to offer texture choices on different parts, and this script fulfilled my needs.
- So far i have scripted a product that offers 104 textures, applied on two different parts of the build, and the script handles this amount of data very well.
- The menu and textures application is fast even with a long list of textures.
- If you need to texture several parts of an object in a single click, it is possible by writing a new line for each part to be textured, but using the same tree of button names for each line, which produces a single button, for several faces and/or effects applied at the same time.
- The fact we can choose which prim(s), root or child, will trigger the menu was very important to me.
- This means as well that this script works with a linkset of several prims, each line can support one or several numbers of prim numbers, plus one or several faces numbers.
-The menu and prefab buttons [Back, Next, Up Menu, Close] are customizable.
- About customer service, i asked twice for help from the creator, who always answered me quite quickly, and quite efficiently. The only two points I regret is that the creator's support group is not free, and that the scripts labels are a little too self-promotion turned.
I'm probably forgetting other points and some features that I haven't explored yet, but overall it's a very good tool, flexible, all-terrain, well thought out, and well written.

Great but...

I have to say... This is the best texture changing script I've ever used... and I've tried A LOT.
It's simple, low lag and offers the greatest number of options for theme/single/multi part changers in one customisable menu.
This script is very worth the money and 5 stars.... if you have no interest in integrating your texture menu with your sit menu...
I had a look at the basic Easy Texture Changer and loved what it had to offer. In particular the boast of "Supports llMessageLinked to open the menu from a other script"
Needing more than the basic script offered I took the advice in the listing and went with the Pro version here..
Not only is there no instruction on this feature, the website mentioned is also no longer active and the youtube instructions also have no mention of this feature.
I've received no response to the IM I sent to the creator or the notecard.
If you're better at scripting at me you might be able to figure it out on your own.. I'm still experimenting and have got as far as creating a linked button that leads nowhere.
If I get a reply inworld or figure out how to make it happen on my own, I'll update my review.

Works Very Well

This works very well. Can be used on linked prims but you have to texture faces. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it requires a lot of notecard editing, it does have a handy script that makes things a bit easier... However if you unlink a prim or add a linked prim after you use this script, it messes up all the textures. Also if you are using any kind of rezzor, holo vend or sitter script, make sure you do not add this script to the base prim, as it will mess up those scripts that require base prim use. You can link a switch, pillow or prim to your build and use that to control the textures, as you do not want to use this in the base prim. Most of this has been trial and error, I have used this for years and it works great on mesh.

Hope you don't need customer service

I've been trying since May of 2015 to get an answer to a question. Still nothing. The texture changer does pretty much what all the others do. It's not harder to set up, and not easier either. Because I couldn't get an answer to my question I ended up buying another for a fraction of the price ($250L) that does the same thing plus what I was hoping I could do with this one... but could never find out.
This is the first really negative review I've ever written.

OHMYGOD FINALLY!!!

I have been looking forever for a script with these capabilities. There are so many systems out there that offer parts of this but there has been NONE that I've found that have them all. As well, the set up was very very easy considering the complexity of the options available. Add to that, the fact that the seller is quick to answer questions and even made a small change to accommodate a suggestion and this product is most certainly a MUST HAVE for any builder wanting to offer texture change in their products. If I could give this a million stars I would.
