Most flags in Second Life are just static flexi-prims with Wind set up high. This doesn't really produce that waving/flapping style that real flags have. This simple efficient script is intended to fix that.
Just edit your flag and drop this script into the flexiprim itself. That's it!
I use this on a flag on my boat and it always looks great now.
The dimensions of your prim will affect the result. The dimensions of my flag were <0.01000, 1.28711, 2.07506>. Anything close to that should give a nice result.
If your flag is part of a linked set, (such as being attached to a flagpole) then be sure to choose "Edit Linked" and select the actual flag itself before dropping this script into it.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY THE SCRIPT TO MAKE YOUR EXISTING MODIFIABLE FLAG MORE REALISTIC.
- Just drop into your flag prim
- Your flag will follow the wind still.
- Flapping/Waving flag looks more realistic
- FULL PERM

Works AND You Can Work It
This is a simple but very effective script that you can edit if you wish. I used it to make a golf hole flag for my mini golf. The smaller than recommended size made it not flap as well than the recommended. I played around with the numbers and found a combination that worked well for the smaller size. Thank you for making and sharing this script.
