NOTE 31.3.2013 Name2key service using Linden Lab database is broken (by LL), and the scanner fails to resolve keys from names. As temporary workaround, you can use /key parameter and give the key of the owner instead of name. Some viewers show the user key in profile, or you can use w-hat web page http://w-hat.com/name2key or a script using that service https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:LindaB_Helendale/Name2Key

Lost an object somewhere in the sim and cannot find it?
Need to find all objects owned by someone?

LindabeamArray helps you to find objects anywhere in the sim
* scanned area from 4096 meters to ground
* you don't need to know the exact name, any part of the name will do
* you can find all objects of a given user
* you can restrict the search to any given parcel
* you get SLURL's showing where the objects are, or you can rez a taxi chair that will take you there.

As far as I know, this is the only object finder that seriously performs a full sim exhaustive search for objects.

Usage examples:

Find all objects owned by the tool owner
/81 findsim /owner me

Find all tool owner's objects matching 'cat'
/81 findsim /owner me /name cat

Find all objects with name matching 'dragon'
/81 findsim /name dragon

Find all objects with name matching 'chair' , owned by Lindab Helendale
/81 findsim /owner lindab helendale /name chair

Find all my objects in parcel "NCI Kuula - New Citizens Incorporated" You can also choose the parcel from sim parcel list from the menu >SET SEARCH / >PARCEL LIST
/81 findsim /parcel NCI Kuula - New Citizens Incorporated - Help/Classes/Freebies /owner me

Found objects are listed as SLURL's to teleport there, or to see the location on the map, with the red arrow and beam pointing to it. You can also rez a taxi chair and choose the object from menu. The chair tracks moving objects.

While scanning, the radar shows the status of the probes by small animated radar models.

Technical notes:

Due to sensor limitations, most object finders need either the exact name or they find only the closest objects by partial name. There are object finders you wear as attachment that scan the nearby objects for partial name match, but it's pure luck to find anything with those.

LindabeamArray uses an array of recursive Lindabeam scanners to find objects by any part of the name, covering the whole sim (256 x 256 m x 4096 m). From each probe location the algorithm has guaranteed 100% coverage 64 meters in vertical direction, and the probes move up and down to cover all heights. I have tested the algorithm by thorough tests outside of SL, and the implementation by hiding large number of objects in many sims and checked every one is found.

Scanning time depends on the number and distribution of objects in the sim; on average the performance is more than 1000 objects per minute. Scanning a sim with 3000 objects takes around 2 mins.

If you want to search for objects close by, you can ask the tool to give you a radar that finds any object in 96 m radius, no matter how many objects there are.

  • Sim-wide search of objects
  • Partial name search
  • Search by object owners
  • Search for objects in a given parcel
  • Theoretically proof and extensively tested search algorithm

This system works great! The Emerald Viewer has a built in Area Search but I find it to be hit and miss. This system has never failed me to find everything I have looked for. To search a whole sim may take a while but it will find everything.

This is the best object scanning device your L$ can buy, has helped me on more than one occasion and has never let me down once. The taxi chair feature to it saves a ton of time if you have to locate your objects fast and with only a few menu selections, i script alot and know the work involved in something like this, hats off to LindaB Helendale for this....your product is awesome !

I sooooo love it...I must of buy it about 3 minutes ago and it already found the object I looked for at least 40 minutes!!!! No, this is not expensive...I had some mad people in my sim who spread strange objects...with this, I will clean it immediately! It is expensive to pay sim fee and not to use its resources at full.

WOW! I had lost my Intan while moving my skybox which has over 70 couples dances loaded... EXPENSIVE!! I lost a string of objects between 3500m and 4500m... I was clueless to where my Intan was! You can't imagine my relief when the LindabeamArray helped me locate it! It even gave me a link to where it was exactly! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

All I can say is OMG OMG I have several other 'find objects' products that don't go further than 96 m , useless when you know is not that near because you changed the height and send it who knows where I was at 1,450 m and the object FOUND was at 126! no wonder I wasn't able to find it. Its great, I will be happier if the price would be less, but hey! My object has 47 prims! and prims is money in SL. Very recommended :>)
