The Darkfire Security Orb scans for and optionally removes people (with IM warning prior) within the range and at the scanning rate you specify. The orb automatically ejects those who have been banned, and makes a determination on other visitors based upon whether you put the orb in Friends-only Mode, Ban-only mode, or Group mode.
Designed to be low lag, the orb can follow and eject detected avis using either a banned list, a group list or a white list. The system will also track up to 1,000 visitors and the last date visited and up to 1,00 banned avis.
Simple to setup--no notecards!!!--just rezz the orb--you will automatically be assigned owner rights.
After setup additional owners as well as banned individuals may be typed via text command line or via menu.

Customer Service
I bought the old orb and had problems that others have noted here. Menu was too long and seemed overly complex.
I wrote the creator and received an immediate response. Not only did he respond, but he provided a new orb version that simplified the menu system AND placed all the buttons I needed the most right up front. It even included functions like the visitor greeter that I wasn't even looking for but know I'll use at some point.
After trying the orb further I accidentally deeded the orb to land and because of the land settings by my rental manager I couldn't get it undeeded. The creator sent me a new one, no charge.
I'm hooked
I bought the wrong orb (the visitor orb)--mostly because I'm an idiot and didn't read the text-the creator not only let me swap it out but came over and helped me set it up.

SO MANY DIFFICULTIES TO SETUP
I've bought the item based on reviews. I past more than 2 hours to try to setup orb, but nothing to do: the blue menu is too big and don't lay all on screen (1366x768!) because the last row go out of screen so it's impossible to use it. Well, I go to menu on local chat but command don't respond giving me wrong settings.
I think should be very urgent to modify blue menu to make it more and more little on screen (don't need all that description of local chat menu that stole space from blue menu).
It's my opinion that 75L$ are throw out of window and this item is a really loose of time.

Props to Seeker for his timely response when I had a problem with the menu. The Orb itself, once you get the correct one, works flawlessly and is by far the most feature rich and user friendly that I have used. There are certainly more expensive one's but I needed something I could use for staff at my various businesses and it absolutely had to be EASY AS HELL. Which this is.
I was slightly reluctant, initially, to give it 5 stars because on initial Rez or inventory drop to in-world, the orb's menu was not working correctly and you could not see the buttons to click on them. I assume, this is because of the older, classic view I've chosen to use and it probably works flawlessly on either the newer Firestorm or SL Viewer 3. Although, I did try Firestorm in it's normal view mode and the error was still there.
There may be a way to fix this without requiring an older version of the security orb via your advanced menu (ctrl+alt+d) or perhaps in your preferences (ctrl+p) under "user interface" but try as I might, I could not find any reference to this on Seeker's documentation web site, in the documentation that comes with the orb, on the marketplace details for this item, or just anywhere on google in general. The only thing I could find was a vague reference in these reviews to that problem where the customer had to request help from Seeker.
Ultimately, I had to request help from him too. lol. He was very timely, polite and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently.
I would like to humbly suggest the information on your sale page be updated with at least a "note for Firestorm Users" etc. but I think either A) have 2 separate versions that you sell, a firestorm version and an SL viewer version or B) include both an older version labelled "simple menu" and your most up to date version. Obviously scripting something that detects the viewer and changes the menu accordingly would be best but I know this is not always possible or feasible.
