Toy's Mesh Art: The Princess & the Goblin
This 3D mesh art for SecondLife has been created with custom painted and material baked on enhanced textures.
I also take pride in attempting to reduce the SL mesh to as low a polygon count as possible without visibly losing the beauty of the shape that was created. This ensures that your artwork will not take up much of your valuable land's prim count.
As is the case with many of my 3D mesh artworks for SecondLife, I also create a 2D digital photo artwork of the sculpture. This is seen in the photo on this listing but it is SOLD SEPARATELY.

PRINCESS & THE GOBLIN
================
(October 14, 2012)
One morning I was reading the daily paper. I came across a lifestyles photo of two premiere ballet dancers from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as they were in mid-pose while rehearsing for their up-coming lead roles in THE PRINCESS & THE GOBLIN. the Dancers were Alexander Gamayunov and Serena Sandford. Below is the URL link of the photo from the newspaper...

The position that the local newspaper (Winnipeg Free Press) captured them in immediately caught my eye on the intimacy of the embrace. I do not know what inspired me as soon as I saw the photo but I wanted to try to create a 3D digital model of this pose as an artwork. I tore out the photo from the newspaper and went to work. Over a week later, I completed my 3D model as well as this 2D rendered artwork from the model.
I will admit that I knew nothing about the actual story of the Princess and the Goblin until I researched it. In summary, its an old childrens fable from the 1800's of a little Princess that grew up deep in the woods of a kingdom. There are also Goblins that live underground and hate the humans. They plot to kidnap the Princess and marry her to their heir to the throne - a prince.
A have not gone to this ballet and I do not know where in the show this pose is used, but I assumed she is the Princess and he is one of the Goblins that has or is about to capture her. My art places the two in a dark surroundings as the Goblins live underground. So this work symbolizes the Princess struggling to escape from the capture of a Goblin.
The 3D Mesh model of this artwork is on display at my Art Gallery in SecondLife.
