Display one or more pages of text using this 40x12-character message board. Set the text in one or more notecards inside. The board will show each page with a 45-second time interval, or any interval you find appropriate.
The blackboard is highly customizable. You can even use your own font. A notecard with instructions is included.
Everything is Mod/Copy. The script is only Copy.
WARNING! For those who forget to read the 'Prim Count' on the right, here's another reminder: the board has a land impact of 31. This is because it can display 480 characters. The purpose of this board is not just to display a single static page of text. A simple texture upload would suffice for that. Instead, this board eliminates the need to upload several L$10 textures, if more pages of text need to be displayed and changed on a regular basis.
EXTRA! If you just want a 4 LI-board, just remove the script and unlink the character prims. Add a transparant cube and put a texture with your text on it.

This is a great item, practically useful, realistic and decorative. Credit to the seller for pointing out that it is a lot of prims. Unfortunately in its fully functional form it is far to many to spare in my small shop. I tried removing the text prims from the display and it worked, but for the record I could still only get the blackboard down to 4 prims but still reasonable. A lot can be modified and I think I might be able to adapt it to still display some text and use far fewer prims if I cut down the amount of text it shows.
What a great low price too. There are a few multiline text display signs around in SL and I think the last time I actually found one for sale it cost 100's and I doubt if there is any way round having to use a lot of prims for a lot of editable text.
