Or, at least, you will be, once you buy the Security Camera Kit from Gentek. This kit includes 3 camera styles:
- Older box/bullet style
- All-weather dome/"PTZ" style with 2 different mounting brackets and a no bracket option
- Covert, silent indoor style
... as well as a comfortable, detailed desk and our intuitive HUD system. All items included are Copy, Modify, and NoTransfer objects, and scripts are NoModify. The included HUD is Transfer to allow other people to use the desk.
Installation is simple - rez cameras practically anywhere and rez a desk. Optionally, set individual camera IDs and groups for ease of use. To allow access to someone else, edit the _access notecard. That's it! No complicated configurations - rez and go. Rez as many as you like, too - they're 1 prim each!
Plus, no other camera in-game offers REMOTE VIEWING with PAN/TILT ROTATION CONTROL! You read that right - not only can you look through any of your cameras, you can CONTROL them using your arrow keys. Switch between cameras using our intuitive HUD that shows all of your cameras and allows you to select any of them individually. Save/recall the default rotation and watch your camera move by itself.

The items are pretty good just as decoration, and the actual camera functionality works about as well as it could be expected to in SL. Would probably be fun if you had a busy shop or club.
I guess one improvement people might like would be the addition of a sort of camera-view overlay on the HUD (darkening around the edges, slight static effect?) while 'connected' to a camera.

This surveillance set is very well done, for all of you who expect to see a real camera with real camera effects sorry to disappoint you and say that it is just the camera of your viewfinder positioned on the camera located where you have it... but what the hell, this is SL what are you waiting for! XD
The camera really does its function of simulating a surveillance camera, it even makes sounds when turning with it and if you use the classic camera with a head, it will not turn completely, something very logical, while the others will, since it has that capacity, too It has a very real up and down angle, it gives you the feeling that you are really using a video camera, I am currently using it for my gothic music club (The Batcave) as I am used to giving possible realism to the environment and configuration and this st was what I needed to complete.
I am very satisfied with my purchase, I recommend it to anyone who wants to give a touch of realism in their club, not only to those who go for PR purposes, but I can also use it at home to spy on your family or your partner... ( 7u7)... okay not that, no hahaha although it could be possible!
