Or, at least, you will be, once you buy the Security Camera Kit from Gentek. This kit includes 3 camera styles:
- Older box/bullet style
- All-weather dome/"PTZ" style with 2 different mounting brackets and a no bracket option
- Covert, silent indoor style
... as well as a comfortable, detailed desk and our intuitive HUD system. All items included are Copy, Modify, and NoTransfer objects, and scripts are NoModify. The included HUD is Transfer to allow other people to use the desk.
Installation is simple - rez cameras practically anywhere and rez a desk. Optionally, set individual camera IDs and groups for ease of use. To allow access to someone else, edit the _access notecard. That's it! No complicated configurations - rez and go. Rez as many as you like, too - they're 1 prim each!
Plus, no other camera in-game offers REMOTE VIEWING with PAN/TILT ROTATION CONTROL! You read that right - not only can you look through any of your cameras, you can CONTROL them using your arrow keys. Switch between cameras using our intuitive HUD that shows all of your cameras and allows you to select any of them individually. Save/recall the default rotation and watch your camera move by itself.

It does what say and more
I tried it in main store before buy. It's a very nice system, you can let anyone control your cameras (since the person have access to the desk), cameras moves very realistic and makes sound. Another point is that you can link it to another object and it still works.
Amazing product for both RP and actual observation
Does exactly as presented. Don't expect the impossible and you'll be happy. Remember this product just moves your avatar camera so if you are trying to view something beyond your camera range it won't happen. Very nice design.
Seems like the LOD might need a bit of improvement as the cameras tend to disappear not too distant away. In fairness, I'm not sure that can be fixed because of the size of the cameras. it may just be SL limitations.
I do wonder if it is possible to make it zoom. I wasn't able to make that happen and am not sure that is possible either so assuming it isn't.

i like the camera very nice and smooth with low lag low prim and more i do wish it had spying abilities so the person inside the camera's rang would be heard for anyone at the desk but i love the cameras they work very nice in my space station i only hope there be more into it but overall i love the cameras
