Beautifully crafted instrument
The effort that's clearly gone into producing this, is phenomenal. No full bright textures, good! You can actually see the strings. It's not the end of the world but the animations aren't accurate, the left hand is playing strings that aren't normally played on a sitar and the right hand doesn't look like someone using a mizrab (plectrum). Also there's the lack of thumb positioning on the neck for the right hand but I guess this is a limitation of SL. I appear to be levitating at the moment whilst playing, not sure if I can fix this but might have to sit on something. I have had to reposition the instrument a little but that's ok. It makes a big difference to have a longer sound playing as the shorter ones tend to get irritating after a while. This is not an issue for me though as I bought this so I can use it whilst broadcasting my fusion sitar. The only other thing I noticed is the lack of smoothing on the Kadu Ka Tumba (body). It's like there aren't enough polygons but this may also be a limitation of using prims.
impressive
its an older instrument, but the scripting and animation is so well done, and the detail competes with a lot of more current mesh, well worth the money.
