Current avatar version is 1.10 but the version in this box is still 1.8, please use the included update card and update your avatar to 1.10 for the bug fixes mentioned bellow.

Welcome to the future of second life! and thank you for not being a stubborn old man and using v2 and v3 based viewers :D

What you see here is a beta of what eventually might be my answer to LL's default avatar body.

Due to the recent changes to the shape of the head, both old and new avatar 2.0 users will need to readjust the size, spacing and depth of your eyes for compatibility.
These are the new values:
Eye size: 45-100
Eye spacing: 60
Eye depth: 27

- About the project -

The project began with a vision of, or more like, a necessity for a better second life avatar model, one that LL failed to provide us with, or even fix any of the major flaws of the current model for years. Now that we can upload our own 3D models to SL, we have the power to make that vision a reality. The main purpose of the Avatar 2.0 project was to research and develop the best possible ways to model and rig the the avatar as well as some other stuff. And so that i could apply the things i learned to my future mesh avatars. Over the time lots of new features got added and problems fixed and we are now at version 1.9.

- Whats New in 1.0 -

A huge change, I have found workaround for the 8 face per mesh object limit, now the Avatar 2.0 has lots of new hide options, that can be accessed through the new "advanced" button on the side of the HUD. you now will be able to wear so much more stuff.
Also the body is prepared for the next update that is going to introduce face expressions, hand and feet positions and other neat stuff.

- About the HUD -

The HUD lets you easily show and hide different body parts for use with different mesh clothing, as well as choose the skin color you like.

- Bonus items -

The bonus item box will now contain the older versions of the avatar as well as the UV maps and skin textures for people interested in modding the avatar.
I have also included a hair base cuz someone needed one for her half shaved head haircut.

For content creators that would like to create clothing for Avatar 2.0, visit this link to get the dummy mesh. http://www.mediafire.com/?s42exb1q2165zun

Always make backups before editing, if you forgot to make a copy and screwed up, use the update card to get a new copy.

- Known bugs -

This isnt a bug with the avatar itself but, due to the recent changes to the head and neck, the TCC and CCCP body suits for Avatar 2.0 are no longer compatible, my blog has details about how to obtain new 1.9 compatible versions of the suits if you own one.

- Future plans -

More different faces, facial expressions and blink.
If Qarl's mesh deformer project comes through and the results will be satisfactory, Avatar 2.0 will also make use of this new technology.

I am extremely new to mesh, and overall this wasn't bad. But personally I don't like the overly anime style of the face/ character. I prefer something more realistic, whether it is mesh or not. But for anyone looking for an anime school girl looking avatar, this is for you.

There's a reason there's no demo

Aweful. Doesn't work with even your shape and skin, only alpha layer erases entire body so you are forced to go buy mesh head, mesh hands, mesh feet. I guess there's one born every minute. I'm sticking to normal non-mesh non-rip offs.

I have thousands upon thousands of L$ invested in Eve, Belleza, Slink Physique, etc. I've only discovered Avatar 2.0 a week ago or so. I thought it inexpensive enough to just give it a go.

I. LOVE. THIS.

Sure: it's nowhere near as flexible as the outrageously-pricy other stuff; the alphas need to be reworked to hide smaller sections (even in the advanced mode) and *most* body sliders do not affect anything at all So with this shape it's almost all or nothing. But dammit, I love this one.

Here's the thing: If you want to try out a mesh body (with or without the head) this one is priced right. And in addition almost all the add-ons are very inexpensive; how can you not?

Because a review should be helpful here are some other things: The built-in skins are pretty good. Not remarkable and you'll have to settle for the shades that are there, but the quality of the skin is pretty good.

Clothing: Obviously the stuff designed for Avatar 2.0 work well, so what about all that mesh stuff available for everything else? I have found that 7 out of 10 of my existing mesh outfits I got for my other mesh bodies are workable. Most come with multiple versions for Slink, Maitreya and so on along with multiple "standard sizes". I have found that many of the Maitreya, "Small" or "XS" versions work pretty well; though you may still have to hide parts with alpha HUD depending on your AO.

As for shopping: always try the demo (no demo: don't buy it). I find at least half (5/10) work well, Just stay away from anything that uses appliers (which is actually a goal for me anyway). Use body sliders to adjust breast/butt size to fit a mesh outfit well (they adjust to those sliders.)

So it is all very inexpensive to get your wardrobe going well, and still have enough flexibility to shop the marketplace proper.

Caveats: you cannot adjust the breast (it comes with choice of sizes, though), butt, belly, body fat sizes and stuff; you can adjust the height, thickness and stuff.

Unlike some of the comments right below me I really like it and strongly recommend this to anyone
the updates are much further than the description the clothes is fully modifiable and so are all the parts of the body head & everything this is a big plus & big point --> you can do as you are pleased just make a few copies of everything
We are talking here full mesh avatar with very detailed alpha that can be used to wear any standard mesh outfit the 4 sizes of breast can satisfy any preference with head and all = 500 L LOL
the support is also great and no IM unanswered
in the scale of 1 to 5 I'll give you 10 starts & allot of kisses ♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡

Acceptable

Nicely looking avatar, the main drawback is in the HUD with very limited set of options for alpha areas, you can pretty much hide only feet, arms, shoulder, legs or stomach, which makes it impossible for some mesh clothes to wear.
But generally nicely looking avi and really cheap.

I give it two stars while the body itself is nice its feet are hardly an improvement over the basic LL and would much more prefer the detail in slink over them. The other bad part about this body is that the customization of it is so abysmal. I would say 75% of shape sliders actually don't matter in the slightest. If this is going to replace the original LL body then it needs the same if not more functionality than the current model. Clothes for this avatar is a nightmare. Every piece I've bought has required tweaking from a few minutes to hours. The alpha joints sometimes are nice but all too often do they go beyond what is required and you end up having excess alpha gaps. Loading shapes with this body is pointless since it mainly just adjusts the height while tweaking a few minor things. The face on this Avatar can't actually be adjusted. It's a what you see is what you get sort of product right now. I don't see it replacing the original LL bodies with a M3 head attached just yet until more options are added.
