Infinite distance teleport script with fully working Teleporter Maker samples.
This is a full permission teleport script (using the well-known warpPos()). With slightly mod from the original function, your teleporter can now go everywhere and even if we were lucky that the lindens increase to double or triple the building limit in the future.
Trying to make it so that only requiring minimal change within all current warpPos() scripts. If you are writing TP scripts, you may just replace the entire warpPos() function and leave all of your other codes remain. The function could go anywhere in the sim (excluding underground, object entry banned etc.).
Script also includes a later posJump() function which does the same job. You may simply choose to use for your preference.
This is a full working TP maker sample. Even if you don't know programming at all, you can make your very own unlimited range TP in a minute!
There are 2 different samples attached. To see how it works, follow these steps on each script:
1 LOCATION > SINGLE CLICK SOLUTION
1) Make a prim (or use any object if you like)
2) Drop the script in its content
3) Open and edit the script:
> destination - where to
> text - optional floating text
> text_color - the text's color
> touch2sit - set left click for touch to sit and TP at once
> access_mode - public, owner only, or group member only
4) Save the script and done~
5) To use, sit (or left click if touch2sit is set) on the object and TP. Once it arrives, it will unsit the user and the object itself goes back to where it came from.
MULTI-LOCATION > MENU SELECT SOLUTION
1) Make a prim (or use any object if you like)
2) Drop the script in its content
3) Open and edit the script:
> text - optional floating text
> text_color - the text's color
> access_mode - public, owner only, or group member only
> menu_message - the message on the location selection menu
> location names and coordinates
4) Save the script and done~
5) To use, touch and select location from menu, once selected right click > teleport. Once it arrives, it will unsit the user and the object itself goes back to where it came from.
Note: this is a full permission script example and there is no support or update, but I may try to assist if possible. Have fun or complain~

-----It works----- but I am going to knock off 1 star because of two concerns 1) after teleporting, sometimes my avatar has some kind of momentum that makes him bounce away from the target location. 2) it would be nice if we could teleport immediately after clicking a menu selection, instead of having to right click. I plan to have several of these teleporters and that extra right click makes things clunky. But for the price of L$9 it is well worth trying this teleporter to see if it fits your needs. You can modify the script and make it even better.
Simple, effective and useful!
Thank you very much!
Works great! Zero problems. RTFM
This script works great. Very easy to set up and use, even for scripting newbies. I know almost nothing about scripts and it only took me about 5 minutes to figure out and set up. It *is* full-perm. Here are 5 easy tips in case you're confused by reviews written by people who didn't take the time to read before reacting:
1) You have to unpack the box you get upon purchase.
2) Open the "Scripts & Manual" notecard in the box to get the scripts. This notecard literally contains both the scripts and the manual. I don't think the creator could have been more clear.
3) Click the links in the notecard to copy the scripts to your inventory. There are 2: 1 for single location and 1 for multi-location.
4) Ignore "box root". That was for the box it came in. Delete it if you want. It's irrelevant to your purchase.
5) Follow the easy setup instructions. Boom, you're done.
The only slight issue I have is that the prim that contains the script will move with your avatar to the new location, but I tested it, and even over long distances (2000+ meters) the object ALWAYS goes back to where it originally was. So my fix is to put the script in an invisiprim so no one sees the object moving. Problem solved, Works great!
Great!
Really simply to set and cheap, thank you! :-)
GREAT
This was the perfect script i was looking for.
It works great,
Thank you.
