While lyteHUD does handle retexturing (with materials, naturally) elegantly and simply, it also offers a host of other controls: Glow, Fullbright, Tint, Alpha Mode, Alpha Toggle, and much else besides. It even comes with panels for Glow/Fullbright and Tint, to simplify your life even further.

Did it on the first try!
Have heard horror stories about other ways to make HUDs and almost considered not making one at all. But figured this 'new way' was worth a shot- and it definitely was! Have never made a HUD before but was able to easily make one in 20-30 minutes with this product. Obviously, next time will be much faster as I was flipping and pausing the YouTube video on the first run. The fact that I was able to make one (that worked) so quickly impressed experienced HUD makers in the room. Highly recommend!
Excellent HUD and support
If you are making a transition from another HUD system it may be a little difficult to understand but once you read the complete guide you will catch everything step by step! The system counts with a lot of useful and important functions and plus advance ones. The creator is very nice and easy to reach out if you got a problem or if you want to give feedback! Best part of the latest update it's the PBR support (can't wait to try it out :D).
cute for small stuff, too limited for more
its easy and fine if you have only very few faces/textures you need to set up. But because you have no way to set up via notecards or scripts, it becomes tedious on projects that offer more customizing parts. It lacks flexibility

Super simple to use, and really fast. I decided to switch from another script that took me so much longer to set up my products. Instructions are easy to follow and understand too. I had a functional HUD on my first try! Definitely would recommend giving this a shot if you're looking for a simple, intuitive script that de-complicates the scripting part of your workflow.
Helpful and amazing at that
Late to the party! I finally got to buying this HUD creating system and I am really glad that I did.
I used to use BOSH for years and the transition from one kind of script-thinking to the other only takes a couple of tries. I doubt I'll go back to using that system, useful as it has been for me all these years!
One request I have is if it might be possible to offer us the Color Picker and Glow texture so that we can use it as a guide to make one that fits our own style of HUDS please?
My favourite HUD system right now.
I've used a few HUD systems over the last couple years. I switched to a BOSH one for material support, then PXL Smarthud when BOSHs alpha buttons failed me.
Lytehud has all the functionality I need in a HUD, and most importantly it can be much faster to setup than previous ones due to it taking textures from the buttons, rather than having to mess with copying UUIDs.
All FACS products from the last 8 or so months to the date of this review have used this system.
I hope an update is ready for when materials arrive, because the new material objects will fit perfectly with the ability to drag and drop textures. I'd even pay for it since creators making huds is kinda a niche market.
