I already knew this store and bought other scripts but this time you have saved me from spending a fortune with these. They serve as explained by the user below me, whom I also thank for his explanation because that's why I decided to buy it.If, like me, you also doubt if it works for clothes, yes, it works.
Highly recommended, thanks a million.
YES! Buy THIS one, if in doubt! I could have bought it thrice, trying to find a script this easy...
(A) Assuming you know how to identify the "faces" and "linksets" of your object.
(HINT: if you know where to look to find the land impact of a prim, when you check 'edit linked" and click the linked objects you want, look a tick higher than the land impact to see "link number:" and a number, that number is the number of your linkset. Similarly, when you "select face" and click the face you want a number for, you'll see the "linked number" text now says "faces: " and a number. That number is the number of that face.)
(B) Assuming you know how to align a scripted "Channel" per face or linkset and HUD "button"....
(HINT: This has two scripts, the HUD "button" script [sending] and the face/linkset/"object" script [receiving]. Each script has a "channel=" and a number, where the number IS the channel for that button and any face/linkset/"object" that has the receiving script with the same channel number. In other words, when the numbers match in the two scripts, they are on the same "channel."
TIP: Channel your faces/linksets first, it makes multiple texture options easier when making HUD buttons by texture.)
(C) Assuming you know how to find, copy, and edit the script to include a UUID.
(HINT: for this product, only the HUD "button" records what texture to apply with the UUID of said texture, sending it to the the single or multiple faces/linksets/"objects" that are on the same channel when you click said button. One way to get the UUID is to go to the texture in your inventory [or from the edit object menu when you click the texture swatch], right click on the texture in question and choose "copy asset UUID" which puts it on the clipboard so you can paste it into the script. The UUID is like that upload's URL.
DEMO of my first HUD with this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/MAJIIK-Maitreya-SGN-Female-Armed-Forces-DRESS-UNIFORM-FATPACK/23581016
*the legging appliers are a different script, all other texture buttons use the scripts from this pack.
terrible if you have multiple linked items it just textures everything
everything with the one script even if its not in main prim will texture everything
Okay...
This script is a joke, its just copy/past of buttons which would lead me to put 90 scripts inside my HUD to make it work like intended...
"Multi-Face Script", well yea, one script = one texture, you just have to multiply them!! xD
Super Easy to use!
I had bought a very expensive hud system that made me want to rip out all my hair trying to figure it out. Then I found this and its amazing how easy it is to use and it works great! I highly recommend this system! I just wish I had seen this before I wasted my money.
Excellent!!!
Easy to use, it was exactly what I needed!! Thank you!
