Lost an object somewhere in the sim and cannot find it?
Need to find all objects owned by someone?

LindabeamArray helps you to find objects anywhere in the sim
* scanned area from 4096 meters to ground
* you don't need to know the exact name, any part of the name will do
* you can find all objects of a given user
* you can restrict the search to any given parcel
* you get SLURL's showing where the objects are, or you can rez a taxi chair that will take you there.

As far as I know, this is the only object finder that seriously performs a full sim exhaustive search for objects.

Usage examples:

Find all objects owned by the tool owner
/81 findsim /owner me

Find all tool owner's objects matching 'cat'
/81 findsim /owner me /name cat

Find all objects with name matching 'dragon'
/81 findsim /name dragon

Find all objects with name matching 'chair' , owned by Lindab Helendale
/81 findsim /owner lindab helendale /name chair

Find all my objects in parcel "NCI Kuula - New Citizens Incorporated" You can also choose the parcel from sim parcel list from the menu >SET SEARCH / >PARCEL LIST
/81 findsim /parcel NCI Kuula - New Citizens Incorporated - Help/Classes/Freebies /owner me

Found objects are listed as SLURL's to teleport there, or to see the location on the map, with the red arrow and beam pointing to it. You can also rez a taxi chair and choose the object from menu. The chair tracks moving objects.

While scanning, the radar shows the status of the probes by small animated radar models.

Technical notes:

Due to sensor limitations, most object finders need either the exact name or they find only the closest objects by partial name. There are object finders you wear as attachment that scan the nearby objects for partial name match, but it's pure luck to find anything with those.

LindabeamArray uses an array of recursive Lindabeam scanners to find objects by any part of the name, covering the whole sim (256 x 256 m x 4096 m). From each probe location the algorithm has guaranteed 100% coverage 64 meters in vertical direction, and the probes move up and down to cover all heights. I have tested the algorithm by thorough tests outside of SL, and the implementation by hiding large number of objects in many sims and checked every one is found.

Scanning time depends on the number and distribution of objects in the sim; on average the performance is more than 1000 objects per minute. Scanning a sim with 3000 objects takes around 2 mins.

If you want to search for objects close by, you can ask the tool to give you a radar that finds any object in 96 m radius, no matter how many objects there are.

  • Sim-wide search of objects
  • Partial name search
  • Search by object owners
  • Search for objects in a given parcel
  • Theoretically proof and extensively tested search algorithm

Just what I needed at a fair price!

The Solution I Was Looking For!

I have almost half a sim with lots of landscaping and nature stuff, including tiny 1-prim summer bird sounders and other ambient objects embedded everywhere. However, I forgot where I hid them all and needed to track them down and take them back to my inventory for the winter season. The LindabearmArray took care of all my needs shortly after rezzing. I used the chat command easily to accomplish things, thanks to LindaB's helpful examples. Through chat commands, the device scans everything and gives SLURLS of the searched-for objects for me to teleport to. I haven't quite figured out the touch menu yet, but, then again, I just bought this item today! I am glad to have finally found a tool that helps me keep up with all my rezzed objects, especially the tiniest ones, on my huge parcel.

Awesome Product

I purchased this product after searching for an item that I lost. In a couple seconds, this scanner located it and gave me a TP link to it. The built in area search for Phoenix couldn't locate it. I found my item over 4000m up.

Entirely worth it's price!

Make no mistake, I COULD code this myself. But at this pittance of a price, you'd be a fool to. It's helped me several times already, and if you can't code yourself then this is an absolute must.

Oh yeah, if I didn't mention it, it works perfectly. As described, even.

The only complain I have is it's ugly as sin. I'd give it 4.5/5 for that, but sadly half-stars don't exist.

I opened a broken box that scattered my things all over the sky. They would have been impossible to locate manually. This found them in under 30 seconds.
