Polo Challenge Version 2.0

Updated November 2022 - Now includes both the stadium version of the game and a new "freestyle" version. The freestyle version has the goals, scoreboard and centre spot as separate objects, allowing you to use your own playing area. The game objects for both versions can now be modified (see permissions below).

Polo Challenge is a fun and exciting polo game, played by two teams. It can be played using rezzed horses, worn horses, horse avatars, motorcycles, bicycles, and most other small vehicles*. You can even play it on foot like hockey or soccer!

Polo Challenge uses a special HUD to control the power of your shots. This allows players to make short passes and long, powerful shots by varying the power. Players can charge the power using the button on the HUD, or they can use keyboard shortcuts by making a gesture using the template supplied.

Polo Challenge can be customised and adjusted to your needs. It features:
- 3 difficulty levels with balls of different sizes and weights, letting beginners learn with a larger and slower ball.
- Scoreboard clearly displays the scores, the time remaining in the game, and the current game settings.
- Adjustable game lengths - set the game length between 1 and 45 minutes.
- The game is customisable to allow you to change it to suit your playing area (see permissions below)
- Optional animated polo mallets included.
- Team Select option can be used to randomly divide players into teams.
- Owner can restrict the menu to Owner Only, Group, or Public use.

- Two versions included:
- Stadium version comes as a single object that is super easy to set up - just rez it out and you're ready to play.
- Freestyle version gives freedom to use any playing area with separate goals, scoreboard and centre spot that you can place anywhere.

Everything that you and your friends need to play the game is included. Each player just needs to touch the Player HUD button on the scoreboard to receive a player kit which includes the HUD, mallet, gesture template and full instructions.

The original stadium version of Polo Challenge requires an area of 64 x 45 metres. The freestyle version can be played over any area, but all pieces must be on the same sim.

Polo Challenge is made entirely from prims.
The stadium version has a land impact (LI) of 25.
The freestyle version has a land impact (LI) of 21.

Permissions:
- The Stadium and Freestyle versions of the Polo Challenge game are COPY/MOD (All scripts are COPY ONLY so the game may show as copy only in your inventory)
- The HUD and mallet are COPY/TRANSFER
- The gesture template and texture templates are FULL PERMISSIONS**

*Compatibility with all vehicles is not guaranteed, but most small vehicles should work.

**Gestures and textures made using the templates provided MAY be given away or sold. The templates MAY NOT be given away or sold "as-is".
