Remembrance day poppy
A remembrance day poppy, free to buy, copy and transfer.
To properly wear the poppy, also in RL, it should be on the left ('heart') side of your chest. If there is a leaf attached, it should be in the '11 o'clock' position, to indicate the 11th hour of november 11th, armistice.
This is not a political statement. It is one of respect.
Very realistic.
Photo-realistic to the RL poppy in the UK, with a shadow giving a 3D effect. Free but it is good to donate to British Legion for it.
Beware of rezzing it on the ground because it lands face down and is invisible from the back.
Simple, but effective.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam
Lest we forget.
