This is a very easy to use tool and i have been able to get some good results very early on. The price seems quite high but when you see what it does it is worth it , especially if you have bought pre made sculpt prims. This is foryou if you want to build cool and wonderful things here in SL, I would definitly recommend it to others who are intrested in making stuff, whether it be for fun or for the purpose of selling on your creations. I bought this on the 02/11/08 for $4999.00 from SLMarketplace and am very pleased with this purchase : ) *****
Wonderful program! Intuitive once you learn how the buttons work, I was shaping the exact prims I wanted in very little time.
Wow. Really, just wow.
I've been wanting to get into sculpties for a while, and for a build I'm working on. I started with Blender and had a go at making a simply C shaped railing. It sounded easy enough, a cylinder with 2 bends that made the ends point downwards.
Unfortunately, whilst it wasn't too difficult to deform a cylinder like that, I had a lot of difficult making it highly accurate. It had to fit a certain set of dimensions and have a very clean, uniform bend, and it just wasn't happening despite hours of trying.
After buying Sculpt Studio and sending literally 5 minutes reading the notecard, I was away and started position the slices into the shape I wanted. Because of it's X to Y slice functions, I only really had to position a few basic points, and then brought all the others into line for me. The curve function also worked amazingly, and within half an hour, I had the railing I wanted in the *exact* dimensions I'd wanted as well.
Another 45 minutes later, and I've now made a few more railings to fit into other places, all of which are perfect and slid right into place.
This is one of the best 5,000 L$ I've spent on a tool, and I can't recommend it enough. Even if you're a modeller and use external programs like Blender for more free-form shapes (as I plan to), this can save you a lot of time and headaches for high precision objects that you'd like to build in-world.

i'm a noob in sculping but all is turning out verry smooth
will be som ehours before you understand it all and to make good sculpts but this is amazing
