Universal Pilot Hud - Buttonjar Version 1.0.0
We've all had that one plane, helicopter, or other flying vehicle that we love to fly, but it doesn't feel like a serious aircraft. Perhaps it's an actual toy plane, but that shouldn't stop you from using it for serious air travel, right? If only it included a dashboard hud with pilot gauges, like the big planes have!
Buttonjar is here solve that very issue!
Featuring five traditional analog gauges and three mechanical numerical readouts, the Buttonjar Universal Pilot Hud will provide the navigation and piloting information you've been missing, to make your flight experience more immersive and enjoyable!
With a live updating compass and artificial horizon, a functional speedometer and altimeter, and realistic numerical readouts to put the numbers for speed, altitude, and heading right at your fingertips.
▶ Attitude Indicator
Also known as the "Artificial Horizon", this gauge reports the plane's orientation, tracking both pitch and roll in relation to the ground. The inner dial shows degrees of pitch, and the outer ring indicates your roll.
▶ Heading Indicator
A compass that keeps you on course! The compass dial rotates with North, South, East, and West, while the airplane symbol shows your direction of travel. The dial uses traditional 10-degree markings, while the numerical display above shows your heading angle, in clockwise degrees, from North.
▶ Altitude Indicator
The "Altimeter" displays your altitude in meters. Rather than using variable 'ground level', this gauge shows your actual altitude within the region. The striped caution flag appears below 150m and above 4000m to warn of potential risks. The Altimeter has three hands indicating 10's, 100's, and 1000's of meters, with a numerical display counter indicating down to 1/10 of a meter. (fractions of a meter are indicated by the white digit)
▶ Airspeed Indicator
Like a speedometer, this gauge shows how fast you are moving, in any direction, in meters per second. This guage is marked for speeds from 0 to 35 m/s, and will 'peg out' at 39 m/s. The numerical display above reads speeds up to 999.9 m/s.
▶ Vertical Speed Indicator (VSI)
This gauge informs you of your climb or descent speed. It's an essential tool for maintaining altitude, especially during long flights, as it helps you monitor if you're keeping steady height, or moving up or down. This gauge measures in m/s and pegs out at 10 m/s.
To complete these 'big five', there are two buttons to the right.
• OPT or "Options"
Opens a dialog menu that allows you to resize the HUD easily.
• MIN or "Minimize"
Instantly hides the gauges on the HUD, reducing the display to a single small square. All hud calculations and gauge updates are suspended, putting the script in a low impact 'sleep' mode until it's needed again.
- Works with any aircraft where the pilot is facing forward! No plug-in needed!
- Realistic analog gauges for Attitude, Heading, Altitude, Airspeed and VSI
- Includes numerical readouts for compass heading, altitude, and airspeed
- Realistic movements of gauges and numerical readouts
- Minimize function suspends all hud updates and script calculations
Fantastic instrument panel!
I have been using it in conjunction with my GTFO vehicles at "Excursio Luxori" and it is absolutely invaluable! It works equally well on my helicopters and space vehicles. I highly recommend this to any and all SL pilots! AAA+++
