Exquisite!
These earrings are exquisite! The craftsmanship is perfect and the result is a gorgeous pair of earrings to adorn yourself with on your next formal outing! These earrings remind me so much of the Vladimir Tiara, a diamond hooped tiara owned by the Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia, wife of Tsar Alexander II's son, Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich. She had it smuggled out of the vault in the Vladimir Palace after she fled the Russian Revolution in 1917. After the Grand Duchess' death her daughter sold the tiara to Queen Mary of England. The tiara originally had pearl drops that could be hooked into the diamond hoops or removed completely. Queen Mary The current owner is Queen Elizabeth II of England who had 15 of the Cambridge Emeralds modified into drops to be hung in the tiara's hoops. With three settings, pearl drops, emerald drops, or empty hoops, the tiara was a favorite by all who owned it. It remains one of Queen Elizabeth's favorite tiaras to wear and she does so often. It would be fantastic if Boehmer could make the Vladimir tiara because it would match these earrings so well!
