lacks a wolf tail shape
this is a very interesting and versatile tail, and since i needed a bento wolf tail i decided to give this a go since it mentioned having a wolf tail shape, sadly it lacked one though i found one of the fox tails to work.
the animations are a tad fast, but it sadly loses some points due to lacking wolf tail shapes
Detailed, but requires a fair amount of effort to use.
I suppose this might be a bolt on application for some, but if you have a custom character this will require a bit more effort than other parts in the past. The item has its own UV map and thus will require its own custom textures to match whatever you are doing, and this can be quite time consuming.
I originally had problems with the tail even working, but after a day offline and a relog or five it did start to work as intended. All I can suggest is if you have problems with alpha conflicts is to clear cache, relog and try again. I spent close to two hours trying to get this to work and it apparently ended up being SL being SL the entire time resulting in me wasting two hours over nothing.
The tail has more than a fair amount of animations and poses, although you'll have to go through every single one to see which you like and dislike. That said unlike some other animated tails in the past this one is not "twitchy" or "laggy" in updating its position, but it never seems like it's having trouble thinking of what direction to move to. Equally it moves with the body fairly well, and as a result clips far less than static tails.
Creator did contact based off my last review, which is rare.
Four stars at the moment simply from the amount of effort needed for custom textures. It is its own entity and has its own UV map you have to learn. As of yet I'm not 100% certain I can get it to match my character design or not. Will update later.
