## introduction ##

these are free full permission singles and couples dance balls. you can dance single solo dances. included are 13 singles dances.
the couples dance system is a brand new system for second life. it is better than poseballs. there is only one dance included, but if you send me (electorite) an instant message, i will transfer you a folder with another couples dance you can add. you may also add your own solo and couples dances with instructions in the 'extended instructions' notecard.
this doesn't use poseballs for couples dances. this will eventually be the standard for couples dancing in second life. the first dancer clicks the big ball (the dancer who will be leading), and then the second dancer sits on the small ball.
these are the ways the couples system is better than the poseball system...
-dancers do not have to wait for poseballs to be rezzed and poseballs disappear after 1 minute
-these dance balls are much easier to see, and are fully modifiable, so any objects may be used
-poseballs sometimes do not rez at all
-the first dancer can move while dancing and the second dancer will follow (rotation doesn't work while moving yet)
-improvements and modifications are easy for programmers
-when one of the couple stops dancing during couples dances, the other dancer stops dancing
-you may take the dances out of the poseballs and save them in your inventory. you do not need to have the dance balls to start dancing

i plan to add a lot of upgrades, but i addressed the major issues over the last version and added some upgrades, so these can be used in clubs now without much setup. you just rez the balls and they are ready to use. the dance balls operate like you would expect them to, so you don't need to explain how to use them to guests. only one couple per set of dance balls. if you want to allow more couples to dance, you have to rez multiple sets of balls. this way an infinite number of people can dance, but you need a seperate set of dance balls for each couple who wants to dance. you only need one ball for infinite solo dancers.

this is what is included...

1. the earth and the moon are the low prim non animated version. they are to scale (earth and moon 1/800,000th) and use the actual earth and moon maps as textures. these are a total of 2 prims and have no visable animations.
2. the gyroscope and spinning rock are the dance balls which are made to look cool. they are a total of 6 prims. 3 prims rotate and 1 prim has a texture animation. these require more than just rezzing to set up.

everything is modifiable, so you can put the scripts into any object and it will work. i created 2 ready to use versions 'out of the box'.

you do not need to rez the smaller ball if you don't want couples dances

i did some minor visual improvements to the gyroscope to make it look better, so the gyroscope does not look exactly like the picture on the marketplace

## earth and moon instructions ##

rez the ball or balls and they are ready to use. the earth is the only ball which is needed if you do not want couples dances.

## gyroscope instructions ##

these are identical to the earth and moon, but the large ball has visual animations.

you need to rez all 4 "gyroscope" objects. the 2 "gyroscope large" objects should be the exact same place (X,Y,Z) and the 2 "gyroscope small" objects should be at a nearby location at the exact same place. do not link anything. the number 2 versions are 99% transparent balls and contain all the animations and scripts, so they are intended to be invisible but still clickable. the number 2 balls are slightly larger than the number 1s. the number 1 balls are the visual animations. again, make sure not to link anything. you can unlink things, just don't link anything which isn't linked.

extended instructions are included in the notecard if you want to add your own dances or are experiencing something which should not be happening. alternatively you may contact me if you cannot figure something out.

allow multiple couples to dance using the same balls

add a version to the marketplace with more couples dances included.

add "dance all male" and "dance all female" buttons

add synchronized group dancing

ability to add your own animations without modifying the scripts

change dances while dancing

add rotation when dancer1 moves in couples dances

idiotproof instructions how to add your own dances to the balls (lines to modify, examples, etc)
