Could use some improvements, but still one of the best.
The emote and other abilities of this av put it on par with the old mesh Grendel's, but I find the "fast swim" and "fastest swim" animations a little too excitable for my liking. Something a little more natural without as many jumps and flips for the faster swims would be nice to see in a future update. Being able to select the default stand might be nice to have too when you don't feel like spy hopping or floating around on your back. :P
The swimmer is a tad bit confusing but works well enough, and the fact it has land and air modes is excellent. Have had some issues where it stops working and I'm unable to move, and the button meant to fix the issue doesn't immediately work. Could just be lag in the sims I've been swimming in though.
The mesh itself is very nice, but the default shape makes it come off a little "chunky" in the body and not as sleek as you'd think dolphins to be, and as mentioned the melon almost looks like it's not fully attached. It can indeed be somewhat mitigated by texturing however.
All in all, it's a very good mesh dolphin chock full of features and other goodies but could use some improvements in spots to really make it 'perfect'. Definitely worth the L to pick up all the add-ons too.
Astounding
This av is mindblowingly good. The lively animations, the INCREDIBLE swimmer, it blows all other aquatic avatars out of the water, every pun intended. The rigging is genius and allows the dolphin to use bipedal anims without faceplanting like every other feral av. The only drawback is that the model itself looks a little funky (what’s up with that eye & the detached melon?) but there’s some lovely skins on the market, and you can tweak the shape to mitigate some of the issues (the av is VERY slider responsive).
You can’t beat the price, since you can buy the components separately to your liking. No matter what you end up getting, I highly recommend the swimmer! It really makes the dolphin come to life and sets it apart from other aquatic avs.
